The long-awaited v0.1.1 . This fixes a couple of glaring issues (like Huorns double armor vs Bonecleavers) and generally expands the game yet again.
Main Changes:
- Some general fixes for glitchiness & things I forgot to change
- Huorn vs Bonecleaver fixed
- Dark Arsenal is Tier II properly
- Upgrades shuffled around - Iron Hammer is now before Shield Break as SB is only good in Tier IV+
- All upgrades are more expensive again
- Elves cost mostly Food as opposed to unchanged prices which was wonky
- Tier III is a bit more expensive ; expect another tier overhaul
- Nazgul are trainable all the way from Tier I. To prevent them from being OP in Tier I / useless in Tier V, they get some upgrades as they go along.
- Rohan Archer is a trainable Tier I archer with Flaming Arrows in Tier II. Too bad the Bridge of Osgiliath campaign still doesn't allow training them... The AI is decent at using them in Tier I though. No, the Elf Warden still isn't in because I already have the (buggy) Wildman in IV and Beorning in III.
- Axethrowers have been overhauled, as the Tier I Good Archer is now the Rohan Archer. Axethrowers are useful in Tier I all the way to Tier V.
- Some more lategame Tier V special abilities like Morquendi Arrows = Elven Archers get the Trueshot special ability. Surprisingly this is not totally OP, but Elf Archers generally are.
- Fate Powers! You can now summon as many as you like (including, as you will see, 4 Balrogs at once) and they're a decent deal cheaper, for the most part. Note that Bog stacks with Willow which stacks with Wraith, for a 1/8 slowdown and turning 30 damage into 2. Also Blind is spammable.
Honestly I really can't remember all that I've changed, I haven't made a changelog.This isn't a mega-update, it's just an update.
MAKE A BACKUP FIRST! Move Text.H2O into your Archives folder. Move everything else (everything ending in .lqr) into your Database folder. Run WoTR!
Note: The Mallorn Tree random POP only affects Rangers and Wraiths for something completely different to what you expect as I haven't been able to change the text IDs on Objects as I haven't touched that file yet. It grants a 70% increase to LOS = better stealth detection.
Wonderful!
i will play this at a slightly later date
Hey! I enjoy playing your mod and would like to see more from you. Are you planning to update this mod?
I am indeed! ... however I'm incredibly busy with life, the universe, and everything. Rest assured that I am slowly tweaking things here and there...
... When I eventually get a summer break (which is unlikely to happen in the forseeable future...) I will sit down with the awkward Spells architecture and overhaul the lot. :D
Where is the Text.H2O file
It should be in the .zip file. If you can't find it, it's not 100% necessary anyway as it just contains text changes.
