While a big part of work shown in the demo is still WIP, it is an overall enjoyable experience, which will allow the player to feel how the mod will play like. Including a list of 6 custom NPCs and an arsenal of custom weapons, we made sure to give the player enough to keep him busy for hours, maybe a day or two. But it is good enough for a first release.
Before you download, remember. A lot shown in this demo is work in progress. Do not post the obvious on the forums. For those who are into the Source engine: a few models miss attachments, some have hitboxes that are a bit off, an item_suit is needed for toggling on nightvision, and the HUD is broken on the ClientScheme file (which is weird, because it works well on the actual OF2 build). We are working on these problems that popped when porting to the demo, but we're just releasing this because we want our community to know that this isn't bullshit. And we are actually putting content out. A big arsenal of weapons, and atleast 6 custom NPCs are included in this demo.
To install, simply extract of2mod to Steam/steamapps/SourceMods/
Changelog (from 1.3 to 1.4):
- Fixed a vortex gun bug caused when the vortex particle collided with a gunship.
- Fixed M40 scope and firing sounds.
- Fixed nightvision working without a suit, causing the overlay to be displayed without actual light enhacements.
- Fixed houndeyes not colliding with eachother when running in pack.
- Added up-to-date CLR.

That's kind of an important detail to put online for people to read, don't you think? It's just irritating because I don't have EP1 and 2. Your mod might be worth getting Ep2 for, though.

Hi, I tried the demo and it works just fine. A few things I have just to say: Change the "suit" in the HUD to "kevlar", seriously. Shephard doesn't have the HEV suit.
Second, the mp5 secondary fire didn't work. I guess it's meant to be that way in the demo?
Third: The M16 sound isn't exactly correct while firing. Sounds like it skips every 4th bullet or something.
4th: There is a map glitch outside the "battery puzzle house", where you can see a white line through the landscape. Guess you've already fixed it.
5th: The charger impact looks a bit weird. It doesn't even touch the enemy as he already flies away from the charge. But, I know, it's just demo and alphabetagamma state of the final product. I guess you were aware of it too.
Very nice looking game overall, keep up the good work! This is much more promising than Black Mesa: Source. (maybe you should propose them to take over the mod, maybe it'd get finished in our life time)

The real life M16 is supposed to shoot a three-round-burst fire, maybe thats why the sound skips bullet #4 even though is firing full auto in the demo.

There is no exe. Make a folder in your sourcemods directory, and dump the contents of the download file into that folder.

Pros: Nice music for the menu, reminded me the "Exterminator" theme. Well done scenarios. I liked the dark atmosphere.
Cons: Slow loadings. The Nightvision doesn't help much and low the framerate a lot, so I missed the old and good flashlight. I liked the shotgun, and even the SMG, but I didn't like the M16, which appears to have come from an old game.

Help. Whenever I launch the mod I get an error message that says
MountFilesystem( 317 ) failed:
Steam Mount File system(4616,317,0x1629fa80=,0x1629f970) failed with error 5: No CS online with App 317 Ver 10
I have Half Life 2 Episode 2 (Non-Steam version). Do I have to get a legitimate copy from Steam? SteamMountFilesystem is all one word btw, I had to space it out because it wouldn't let me post it with it all one word.
