This mod is for those of you looking for a sense of immersion above all else.
No HUD Mod v1.2
This will probably be the final version of this mod as it now more or less does exactly what I want it to do.
Changes for v1.2:
Removed circular icon that displays an outline of a weapon and its condition whenever you pick the weapon up or use it.
[Optional] Restored contextual pop ups that may be needed to complete certain tasks in the game. Restored pop up information about the contents of various suitcases and containers so you can see what is inside them before trying to add it to your inventory.
Unfortunately this also brings back all pop ups, such as the icon for opening a door, and most irritatingly, the little white hand that floats in the air above weapons you find in the game. Which is why I have included three versions of the mod in this update.
The first, invisible contextual icons, makes all such pop ups invisible, as in previous versions of this mod.
The second, Nearly Invisible Contextual Icons, makes the icons nearly transparent, especially in brighter areas of the game. You should still be able to see them, so if you need to interact with a contextual object in the game you will be able to locate it.
The final version, Fully Visible Contextual Icons, leaves them at their default visibility, so you will be able to see them as clearly as you can in the vanilla game.
My choice would be to go with the Nearly Invisible Contextual Icons version, but you are of course free to try all of them to see which suits you best.
To install:
Decide which version you want and take the HUD.xui file from that folder and place it in the DeadIslandoutDataMenuHud folder, which should be in your documents folder. Create the Menu and HUD subfolders if you don't already have them.
