This is a reupload of my mod which makes any level absolutely dark. You should use flares to see things. All classic Doom monsters are gone...but sometimes you'll meet Shadows - dark creatures which are run to kill you...
You can use only shotgun (usual weapon) and rocketlauncher (for map30 mostly). All mega powerups were replaced to berserk or flareboxes or night glasses so you can't reach 200% health (100% is maximum now). No changes for green/blue armor. Also all light sources were replaced to flares (burning or unused; burning flares burns instantly after level start).
V2 - more flares, more monsters.
V3 - no "dark" flares + fixed inventory ammount via 'Inventory.InterHubAmount' flag.
Additional Credits : Ral22 for Lasting Light; Xsnake for Zombie Horde; Vader for Shadow monster.
How do you use a flare?
Check the keyboard options - "Use item"

I can't believe how I never paid attention to Lighting and Shadows in Doom before, it changes the game for the better, wow...
I found this other one which is very interesting, it's called Relighting.
There is another one called DarkDoomZ which also gives you multiple choices of Flashlights to use (toggle On/Off)
