I have a few things to say about this mod. both good and bad. I like the new skill lists, items. and how you made it a little bid harder by changing how the mosters behave, and the new ones that you added. and the expanded inventory screens.
however there is one thing that makes this pretty much unplayable for me. the badly unbalanced item value system. how do you expect some one to buy new gear. never mind potions and scrolls if most items, no matter there quality, if it sells for 1 gp! at one time I had both a mystirous orb (new item) with a retail value of 1000 gp. and a unique set of throwing daggers. befor I spent the money for any ID scroll. its sell value was 1 gp. after id. it was still 1 gp! WHAT THE HELL!!. and the orb was also 1 gp! the highest I item that I sold was worth 6 gp. because of the I have only made it to the den of evil in the first act befor I quit. why keep playing if I can't buy any potions to keep my guy alive!
It's called actually picking up GOLD instead.
I don't know why so many people persist in selling only items instead of just picking up the damn gold instead. More gold per stack than before. Items sell for less. This means you can stop repetitively ferrying loads of items to town and you can just pick up gold and KEEP fighting! One potion is like 2-3 gold stacks in Act 1 and less than 1% of a gold stack later!
But no... 'everyone knows' you shouldn't pick up gold in Diablo 2. Sigh.
By the way, throwing weapon prices are even screwed up in regular LoD because it doesn't correctly multiply by stack size.

The gold picking up increases time playing instead of item selling. A genius way to fix the problem. That's the win-win for everyone. Besides, I've always pick up gold. I mean, it's free money. It would be stupid to just leave it alone.
the amountof time u need for picking up the gold is solely determined bu ur clicking skills.
So from what i pull from all this chat is the game is like a snow ball effect? slow for a little bit then picks up speed from there? also i agree just pick up the gold.... it takes the same amount of time but you dont have to go back to town to make the gold and it leaves more room for charms and other items you may need.....
It's faster than regular LoD all the way.
The poster above you thinks picking up gold is heresy and wonders why he has no gold. That's a slow start if you WANT it to be slow.
if most items sell for only one gold that leaves you only the option of picking up gold so how is it a fast start? if you could explain a fast way of going about it let me know thanks.
Why would it be a slow start? Who said items had the same price and gold piles were even the same size. Sigh.
Love the idea of gold itself being worth more seeing that my ocd tendencies require me to pick every stack up anyway lol.

gold is only a problem in the start of the game, else its easy to get money
