It's been over a year since i officially started working on Knights of the Old Empire 2, after the first release of Knights of the Old Empire 1. I am now releasing a Skirmish Beta for Unity. GC is coming at some point but i'm still trying to get the AI to work without land.
It's been over a year since i officially started working on Knights of the Old Empire 2, after the first release of Knights of the Old Empire 1. I am now releasing a Skirmish Beta for Unity. GC is coming at some point but i'm still trying to get the AI to work without land.
Primary Tactics:
Unity - Build diverse force between the 3 military types. Mandalorians have firepower and last awhile but lack fighters, Mon Calamari have long lasting ships but lower overall firepower, Knight ships have plenty of fighters and great overall but lack Ion Cannons.
Republic - Use bombers to knock out enemy shields and use superior fighters to screen enemy bombers. You have great overall ships in the end game boasting advanced fighters, bombers, many Ion cannons and decent weapons and shields.
Note:Ion Cannon Support units are a must have. These are the Guardsman, Victory II, Defender II and Aggressor.
Instructions:
1. Open your Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption directory wherever you may have it installed.
2. Open the "Mods" folder.
3. Extract the folder "KOTOE2_Unity" from the .RAR file you downloaded from me.
4. Place "KOTOE2_Unity" into the "Mods" folder
5. Use the shortcut provided if you have a 64bit and have the game installed in the default location. Alternatively you can use a Mod Launcher or create your own shortcut.
6. Steam users learn to use goggle and look it up. it takes all of 10 seconds. I use disc version so cannot help you or confirm any methods.

A little issue with anyone who download before this post. I forgot to delete the files used by the map editor which greatly increased the total file size and are useless for actually playing.
This has been fixed now.

The mod crashes when i have loading screen!!(((99((9 tell me what should i do?
which loading screen? Is it the main loading screen from started the mod or loading a battle?
Telling me the error message means nothing as it's what always shows up for every crash in the game.
It's the main loading screen on startup. D=
I don't known what it could be. I downloaded this file and it ran fine.
Also with of a hundred downloads now if there was an issue i would be seeing more angry comments.
Run through the steps in the readme again is about all the help i can offer.

An exception has occured. See_logfile.txt and _except.txt for details. Press CANCEL to exit or RETRY to debug
