COLORS is a Capture the Flag multiplayer mod for the game of Kingpin. Its team based game play where the idea is to attack the other teams base, capture their flag, then take it back to your base. You must touch your base flag when carrying the enemy flag in order to score - if your flag isn't at your base when you return, you or your team must get it back to gain points and captures.
This is the full install for the Kingpin COLORS CTF V1.1 Mod for Linux. It includes everything you need to run a server or to just connect to one as a client including all available CTF maps.
Just extract all files to your Kingpin folder. Make sure to read the readme file for mod details and how to configure a server.
Important. If you already have a ctf folder in your Kingpin folder then delete it first.
If you do not delete the ctf folder then you will not be able to connect to a CTF v1.1 server.
Before you delete your current ctf folder make a copy of your config.cfg and autoexec.cfg files first if you want to keep them.
If you have not modified your autoexec.cfg file then it can be deleted.
Using your favourite archive program, extract the contents of this archive into your Kingpin folder.
This will create a ctf folder and install the files.
If you made a copy of your config.cfg file then this can be copied back into the ctf folder.
If you made a copy of your autoexec.cfg file then DO NOT copy it back into the ctf folder.
Open it, and open the autoexec.cfg file already in the ctf folder.
Copy your customisations from your old autoexec.cfg file and paste into the autoexec.cfg file in the ctf folder at the end of the file.
Save the file.
You are now able to connect to CTF v1.1 servers.
If you want to run a public server it's recommended that you also use the kpded2 Enhanced Kingpin Server file which is also available here at Gamefront.com
