It is very important that you install the latest drivers
for your card before running Juiced as
there are known problems with older drivers.

You can download current drivers from the manufacturer websites:

To download drivers for your laptop or notebook, visit the website
of the manufacturer of your computer.

Juiced should be compatible with Directinput compatible devices.

5) Known Issues
=========================================================

DirectX9C is required to play the Juiced demo

The latest version of DirectX can be downloaded from:

www.microsoft.com\directx

Juiced requires DirectX 9c. Previous versions of DirectX are not supported.

Video:

Check system specification and close down all background applications.

It is highly recommended to go to your video card manufacturer's website and
download updated drivers for your card.

Some drivers have been seen to have shader specific problems, you experience
graphical issues with the latest drivers, try scaling back the shaders using
the option found in the troubleshooter tab of JuicedConfig

If you are experiencing flickering 'z-fighting', or lighting issues we
recommend using 32 bit screen modes from JuicedConfig.

Widescreen option in JuicedConfig will correct the aspect ratio for widescreen
displays.

Juiced has a number of different material techniques to take advantage of
various graphic hardware capabilities, be aware, using graphics hardware not
capable of running shaders, Geforce2/4MX for example, or using the
troubleshooting no shaders option will give minimal quality inferior
rendering.

Juiced is known to be incompatible with older graphics cards such as ATI
7200/7500 and SiS Xabre 400

Sound:

If you experience problems, it is highly recommended that you to go to your
sound card manufacturer's website and download updated drivers for your card.

Some drivers have exhibited problems, if you experience issues relating to
audio and performance latest drivers, try using troubleshooting options found
in the troubleshooter tab of JuicedConfig, such as unticking 'Hardware
mixing'.

Input:

If you experience problems please check you have the latest drivers for your
device.

Some systems have been seen to experience problems selecting the controller
options, if your system fails to show a DirectInput controller configuration
box when you select this option please run the dInputFix.bat found in your
installation directory.

Some issues have been noted with pedal set-up when using steering wheel
devices, such as the Logitech Momo Wheel, please check your 'Pedals reported as
Combined' option is ticked for these devices. This option will be found in your
control panel.

Steering wheel option found in game options should be switched to yes for use
with a steering wheel only.

General:

If you encounter virtual memory errors while loading Juiced you will need to
clear some more free space on your hard drive.

Choppy video play back particularly on older systems, maybe due to a fragmented
hard drive, consider using Disk Defragmenter.

It is strongly recommended that you close all applications before installing
and running Juiced. You can use your task manager to close down unwanted
applications.

Improving Game play Performance

If you are experiencing low performance you should...

- Make sure your system has enough resources free, shut down all other
applications.

- Run JuicedConfig and switch antialiasing to level 0

- Make sure you have the latest video card drivers for your graphics
card.

- Run JuicedConfig and reduce the video mode to a less demanding setting
e.g. 640*480*16.

- Use the graphics options in game to reduce track detail to minimum.

- Use the shaders tab in JuicedConfig to limit the more sophisticated
shaders, setting to shader 1.0 will boost overall performance on some graphics
cards.

- Turn off effect options such as motion blur and depth of field.

- Unticking the 'Hardware mixing' option in JuicedConfig troubleshooter
tab, which can improve performance on some audio cards.
