3rd person action/adventure using the Source SDK engine. It follows the story of a futuristic red riding hood as she battles her way through a league of robots in order to hunt down professor Wulf (who just so happens to have his factory in grandma's abandoned warehouse). However, there are a few tricks, one for instance is that professor wulf has polluted the city, and anyone who breathes in the gas goes MENTAL.
This is the Prototype developed by the team. Its goal was to show that what we plan to do in the coming semester will be feasible. hide detail -
The prototype shows that we can develop a 3rd person action game allowing the player to use altered hl2 weapons and navigate a unique landscape.Changes made to Existing HL2 material and source code.
Weapons:There are 3 weapons found in this prototype.
- Power Glove: Altered crow bar with further strike range and increased damage
- Machine Pistol: Altered piston with increased clip size, fire rate and decreased damage
- Re-bounder: Altered AR2, only emits the energy ball. Energy ball takes longer to explode and does not consume enemies, acts as bouncy ball. After each bounce, the ball increases in damage.
Interface:Only minor interface changes have been made as a more complex, dynamic interface is in development.
Environment:Only the first of 3 environments is available. All textures have had a grey scale filter applied, expect for key objects which have been textured red.
Characters:Our main character Rouge(aka Alex) has been slightly re textured. Jacket made red and rest of clothes in greyscale. A third person camera is being used. Jump height and moment speeds have been increased.
Side note: Due to project scoping reasons, the models that were to be used could not be completed in time.
Install
The most simple way to install is un-rar the file to your Steam\Steamapps\SourceMods folder. Restart steam and play from the steam games menu.

Is this finished, like a full release?
Unfinished, we were given the last semester(just ended) to come up with the design and create a demonstrable prototype to show industry representatives (which is what this is). We're currently chilling out on holidays at the moment, but will be working our little behinds off next semester on it to create a full single player campaign. Where you get to play as Red Riding Hood (or Rogue) and get to take down the evil Professor Wulf.
Even if no one else is, I'm excited. lol.
