i think this is a patch that make the game run the old engine before orange box update that let you play old smod mod properly
i got this error "failed to load the launcher DLL" do you have any idea

do you have half life 2 on steam?
u kinda accidently deleted an wrong file i think

I added SMOD to sourcemods and applied the patch before pasting the old engine files into the directory, did I do it wrong?
If you want to run smod on Steam use Smod Redux Standalone
followed all instructions and i got this error "V_MakeAbsolutePath: tried to ".." past the root."
Open smod_elite folder > gameinfo.txt > delete everything inside it then replace with this:
