wow. If this is the same demo from way back when, I'd just like to say that it's one of the best, and totally sold me on this mod. Loved it.
its not a mod its a standalone game :p
it just uses the hl1 engine (i know its actualy quake but meh xD)

Yep you can use it in steam if you use it like a mod of HL1.

Not, the demo don't need steam, it's retail. but if you wanna play the game on-line(and with a little better grapics) u need the patch from here(http://www.nextdimension.org/gunmantosteam/) to make it work like a HL1 mod.
Lol, this game was the first one original that I have based on hl1 (including HL1 xD), it was great, and the options for some weapons, like the chemistry-based one, was unique for the hl1 engine, I can't remember any HL1 mods that use the same way to customize the weapons.

This demo is stand-alone game. Maps in it aren't new, they are same as in original Gunman Chronicles. No matter to download it, if you played original game.

Was this a real game that wasnt made, or was it jest a mod, or was it a game but some one made the demo... im confused cause i have a Half Life game with on the back it was an ad for this...
Gunman Chronicles was a game itself. I dont know where people are getting that its a mod? Maybe because it was initially supposed to be a mod until it got a lot of attention then turned into a stand alone game.
Becaus now it can be installed as HL1 mod
