Flood ODST - Halo 3 file

Dissatisfied with the Flood ODST included in the H3ODST Editing Kit? If so, this resource is for you:



This tag resource includes a vanilla styled ODST Flood Combat Form tag for Halo 3, a custom model with damage states / garbage. Includes an already set up .char tag, for use as an AI.


I wasn't happy with the Flood ODST included with the release of H3ODST's mod tools, being just a recolor of the standard Marine Combat Form. So, I made my own take for H3, so as to actually resemble the ODSTs seen in the game. Garbage tags are included, meaning that the pieces of the ODST Combat Form will appropriately drop to the ground when you shoot them off (including the helmet!).




To have the ODSTs in the game transform into their new Combat Form when infected by the Flood, you'll have to navigate to the bottom of the odst.biped tag, and set the path next to "reanimation character" to point to this mod's .character tag.


Of course, since this is a modder's resource you are allowed to use this in your mods/maps. The only requirement is that you credit my contribution, preferrably as xM, but xM120 works too.

To have this tag in your H3EK installation, extract the tags folder in the downloaded .zip file into your H3EK root directory.
