Hello there i downloaded and installed the mod Successfully, however i ran into a problem in wich i could not get it to start or better to say it got stuck in a blackscreen before the fear logo cutscene would play and i always get the
"Failed to initialize client - unknown error"
massage in the background.
Is there any way i can fix this or are there any tips you guys can give me on fixing this?
You need install fear original v1.08
Okay i both updated to v1.08 and reinstall my copy of F.E.A.R. and installing the mod into directory and drag and drop does not work either.
Or does the mod just not work with the steam version of fear ?
I also tried all fixes to get it to run on windows 10 and the normal fear game does but i cant get the mod to work.Is there anything else that i am missing beside 1.08?
The mod is installed as well as fear ressurrction, first install the original game, then install the mod in the folder with the game
Alright i got it to work (by reinstalling the both the mod and my copy of fear and it worked) and played it and i must say that it was hard but extreme fun ,i cant wait to play the Addons when the new update comes out, thanks for giving us this mod mate it was a really refreshing experience.
does the mod work with the fear platinum collection wich has extraction point and perseus mandate already included?

I did install the mod on top of my Steam installation.
i also noticed these weapons have a hell of alot recoil any chance of lowering it
Some parts of the campaign have an issue with Memory Usage. It runs out of memory in the eight mission, and the enemies inside the first van sometimes have completely un-existent character skins. Can that issue be fixed?

Sorry for replying so late. I only recently knew how to even make screenshots, but i couldn´t make some of the bug. It still happens, but it´s because of my laptop overheating.
Do I need to have F.E.A.R on steam in order to play this mod?

Okay, I am stuck in the black screen when I try to start the game and I always have to keep resetting my PC because of it
And you mod installed in the folder with the game?
Installed F.E.A.R. 1.8 (platinum) from GoG.
Ran installation and from what I read here selected the directory where GoG installed F.E.A.R. to install it.
Run it and just get the black screen as others have described. I can't find any installation support in English, so here I am.

For anyone reading who bought from Gog Platinum edition:
- Start with clean install. (If you've already messed it up like I did you can use the GoG repair function much quicker than reinstall).
- Run the "Complete Edition" installer. When it prompts for a location put in your GoG install directory, (probably C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\F.E.A.R. Platinum Collection unless you changed your Gog game dir), but add "\FEAR" to the end of it. In my case for example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\F.E.A.R. Platinum Collection\FEAR"
Hey so do we have to replace the game files? I did and I get the same "unknown client error"
As far as I know that should install everything into the FEAR subdirectory. Then you run the game with the FEAR.EXE that's in there. In my case: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\F.E.A.R. Platinum Collection\FEAR\FEAR.exe"

Don't know if this has already been asked but will this have elements from the F.E.A.R: Rivarez Mod?
I am on Linux, and I bought and installed Fear through Steam, its the ultimate edition. I installed your mod in the Fear Ultimate Edition game folder. Your mod chose to alter my desktop resolution without consent, and it bugged out with my 2 screen setup. I had to restart my computer. I then went into your mod's folder to look for the config file. I found the config.exe file, but when I try to load it, it returns with talk about a serious error and needs to close.
Without the ability to open the config file, there is no way I can set the proper resolution for the game prior to launch. And since your mod bugs out with a 2-screen setup, I won't be able to play the game anyways. I am guessing this is a result of me trying to run this on Linux. But the Steam version of the game uses Proton Steamplay to launch and run the game without a major issue. But the Steam version does have a stutter in the game, so thats why I wanted to try your mod, hoping you fixed that.

Вижу мод придерживается каноничности без особых изменений, на зачем ключевому персонажу Пакстону Феттелу нужно было менять лицо? Сомнительное решение, в оригинале он был Николасом Кейджем, а в моде уже Ганнибал Лектер=). А так работа проделанна как минимум не малая, но в полной мере оценить сложно, поскольку оригинал играл очень давно, и в связи с этим хотелось бы иметь в распоряжении более подробное описание проделанной работы, и хотя бы несколько скриншотов со сравнением оригинала и модифицированной версии.
Взяли модель из Reborn.
Уж это гораздо лучше, чем клон Тома Хидлстона из F.E.A.R. 3
Да и модель по образу лучше.
You need the game either on steam or retail version. Like you need the game installed first then put mod files into game directory. You need only the main game additional content (Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate) are not necessary.

Фул подходит на версию 1.08.
Русс.локализация тоже вполне поддерживается.
А что за репак версии F.E.A.R Complete Edition Full 2.02 с двумя дополнениями я качал год назад? Почему сейчас версия 1.01...
Сейчас "перезапуск" проекта, отсюда 1.01.
От репака отказались, да бы не получить люлей от Monolith и Warner Bros. за распространение полной игры с аддонами.

does this work with the normal steam edition of fear? if so how do i install it?
i have a issue when i got into interval 3 the game took a while to loading when i pressed some key the game closed without any error message also when i got back into the game again and used my last saved game the game itself get bugged as **** the camera got weird i had nothing on my hud interface like i could only rotate the camera and when i did that i could see my character standing still without the head on the enemies pass by and dindt notice me at all they just go pass through me its like i was not there at all i dont know why this happened i played before this mod back in 2018 the game worked very well without any issues but now with this new 2019 update i got these problems i have no ideia i have my vanilla FEAR with the update v1.08 installed and everything i have FEAR CE inside the same folder as the vanilla fear so how i fix this issue?
I am having similar issues and they started happening at the same point in the game. I managed to get past it but shortly after ran into the same issue. I CTD when it tries to load the next map. I reload the game and use the most recent save and it will CTD. I will try different saves and sometimes they will load and be bugged where can see body and can't move or been stuck in cieling. If I load a save file far enough back it will and work correctly and I can proceed only to run into the same problem at about the same point. It only crashes when it is loading either the next level or a save file. Never while playing.
We accidentally made this mistake ourselves. The only way out is to prescribe the code "maphole". And the next update will be fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Just glad a fix is incoming since so far really loving this mod for one of my all time fav shooters. Keep up the good work!
