Hi Leeberty,

My Battlefield 2 game seems to be crashing because of the file HudSetupKillText.con. When I remove it, the game works but the killfeed is the default one except it's in the middle. Is there a fix to this?

Is there a fonts file I'm missing or is it some other issue?

This occurs on mods that use your dynamic indication mod and when removing that specific file, the game works but the fonts don't change.

Please help.

no, well yes but you need to make the whole thing, if you totaly understand the concept of this mod
1. you need to good at photoshop
2. make that custom bot name in photoshop and save it as dds
3. implement it to your game

i think the step is just like that

Hi @Leeberty, Do you know how to extract all the individual textures from an atlas texture? I know how to generate atlas texture, but I don't know if it possible to do vice versa operation (extract all individual textures). I would like to remove some textures from your dynamic indication atlas and generate a new atlas. I hope you understand me.

Nvidia has texture atlas tools which I guess will have every function you gonna need. But you may have to transform the tai file scripts to parameters that can be recognized by Nvidia texture atlas tools, perhaps via Excel.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried nvidia texture atlas tools but I can only generate new atlas texture (with AtlasCreationTool.exe). Also I found AtlasComparisonViewer.exe tool, which can read .tai files and display each atlas sub-textures, but has no command line to make some operations.

First I would like to say thankyou for your world class mods, they are amazing!

After translating the document, I have successfully installed the Dynamic Indicator.

May I request an update please? I can pay you by Paypal for the update, would it be possible to have the AIX2 botnames updated with the new fonts?

I don't understand how to make new fonts with the included applications I'm really sorry for asking, this is really complicated indeed as the botnames have to be allocated from grid based DDS files.

So when a player is killed the message is from the mod file 'AGM_KillIndi13.dds' and it just displays the same name 'EASB'

You can make your owm bot names with Photoshop text variant and batch process function. The fonts needed already in the pack, and you can modify the color of weapon name template to make bot names. Also you have to modify the python files to define the length of names.

Leeberty I get a bug , when i get killed by a bot, the name don't get out of the screen, i need to load a new map to get off the nametags, how fix that ?

Sorry for the late reply, this sounds brilliant, I will attempt to convert the AIX botnames.

Were trying to get this running with BF2statistics dedicated server but I now realize that this method cannot work with multiplayer.

Example, a new player joining the server would break the game.

May I ask what elements could we remove so it could be multiplayer compatible? maybe remove the flashmenu and just have the new hit detection and somesort of lightweight flashmenu?

BF2Statistic server is brilliant as players keep their rank throughout the profile.

Just imagine your mod in multiplayer that would be out of this world.

Currently not possible... Even you use object generated effects to show the text, the Global Interpreter Limit of python will stop the system from working on multiple players, regardless of the server hardware condition.

BTW the current version of dynamic indication works fine in AIX 2.0, perhaps you need to check your files.

Yes indeed it works with AIX2 but the botnames are the default BF2, I'm going to try and convert to AIX2 botnames.

So regarding the limit of the python, do you believe it could be possible to have some features in MP?

The hit detectors may work in MP?

Maybe we could just have a kill message to reduce the python limitations?

Maybe we could remove the score value from the HUD?

This is one of the greatest mods I have ever seen its majestic! Any information on what elements may work in MP would be great as this mod is very complicated indeed.

i know a lot of people already asked how to install this mod and the reply is the same, but please i need a proper installation guide. i already try your advice by using translate which the result is kinda confusing (and not clear enough). i really want to at least try this mod. or maybe anyone here know?
