Doomed Boy v1.0 for GZDoom, LZDoom and Zandronum. This mod tries to make Doom I/II look a bit like Game Boy Classic games. For best results, use software rendering, set the brightness to maximum, turn off dynamic lighting and remove decals. Doomed Boy is based on Sigvatr's EGA Doom.
what a neat mod i like it 10/10

This is cool and all, but why is a shader 28MB? The green gameboy effect has already been done for DOOM before and it only requires a few kb to do it unless you're replacing the actual textures.
Hello skdursh! In fact, the mod doesn't use external shaders, but a modified color palette, which is only 256 bytes long (it's smaller and faster than a shader, as it doesn't post processing). There is a WAD file, a PK3 file and a PK7 file. The first contains the color palette and 100+ fx sounds (3.7 MB). The second is alternative and contains 1100+ textures (1.5MB). The third contains three hours and thirty minutes of music, divided into 65+ ogg files (25 MB).
I believe fx sounds could be simulated from audio filters, but I don't have the experience to implement this. In place of songs, it would be possible to use a suitable soundfont, but it is not a user-friendly setting. I believe the mod is small enough... Thanks for commenting!
I really like this. It satisfies my monkey brain to see two things that I like to be merged into one. Also, the fact that this works for both The Ultimate Doom and Doom II is nice, and isn't something I see too often, so kudos for that, even if it only makes sense due to how it was made.
Hi Midreavios! Thanks for the comment and the feedback.
