the weapon sprites dont work, theres only the original DOOM II weapon sprites
I don't know if this is relevant, but the file I downloaded is suspiciously small given what it's supposed to deliver.
This is a mod from over 20 years ago; it is not going to be as large as modern mods.
Wait is this compatible with Zandronum?
No. This is for EDGE CLASSIC only.
I am a long time Zandronum, GZDoom, ZDaemon, Odamex, DoomsDay etc.
I play every mod for every engine I can find the time for.
I have been playing Doom since iD overloaded university servers with the shareware release.

It is a mod for EDGE-Classic. It will not work with the ZDoom family of ports.

I couldn't get Edge-Classic to recognize this wad. That is run this.
This is what got on extraction of the zip:

When I ran the COVERT.BAT I got this message:
"Edge Engine
Unable to initialize graphics 320 x 200 x 256cl"
When I placed the EDGE.WAD on the shortcut (how all the wads launch), I just got map 1 of Doom II.
You need to download the version from this page to use it with EDGE-Classic. That file list looks like the original Covert Ops release.
Did that keep getting the following error message during attempted launch on edge classic 1.35 and 1.36 (Some letters might be wrong used OCR jpeg to text):

Looks like we will have to update our wadfix then; TRACK is a reference from a time when CD playback was supported in EDGE, which is obviously not the case now.
Oops, yeah it's a bug on our end: it will be fixed in the next release of EDGE-Classic.
