Clan wars by nicosuave for Mech Commander Omnitech (28 missions) is the first ever, fan made campaign for MCO. You are the founder of Death's Angels a mercenary unit that is just getting off the ground. At first you are doing odd jobs for anyone who will pay, not caring what the consequences. I mostly liked your campaign, although I have some issues with the maps (too flat, too small) and the powered down mechs ( you can kill the entire enemy force while they"sleep" and they will not "wake up") in some of the missions, also the salamander and elemental swarms are too devastating to counter....

Hello not sure if this is a glitch or was intended, I've just encountered the clans in your campaign, but I can no longer buy mechs after missions or salvage during missions. The mech bay is empty and the salvage icon is blacked out during missions.
I encountered the same thing and am wondering if its intentional or not. In addition to being unable to salvage once I encounter the clanners (despite resource points and plenty of extra pilots) I also can't buy any new mechs in the mech shop, although that's because no new ones show up. If this IS intentional... it's kind of disappointing. Salvaging is one of the best parts of the game, and it hurts to have it taken away for mission after mission.
Okay, to answer this question for anyone else, the ban on salvaging is intentional, temporary (4 or 5 missions), and has an in-story reason.
A new campaign? Cool! Good job! Hope to get some spare time soon so I can try it out :)
sorry I did not get around to the questions sooner! Work has been busier then I thought. The temporary ban on the salvage was indeed intentional for story line purposes! It was a play on the technology of the clans being far superior from the books and me allowing time in the game for you to prove your worth against the harder clan mechs. I bring the salvage back after a few missions just to allow time in the story line for your techs to catch up to the advanced systems. Sorry if it was confusing or anything.
