Description
This is a set of higher quality FMVs for Blood. They were made by ripping the original Smacker videos to a set of images, which were each run through alsa64's dedither model for ESRGAN. The dedithered images were then upscaled using Waifu2X to 960x720. They were then imported in Avisynth where I also boosted the gamma a bit and encoded using FFMPEG. Audio has been taken from the AVI files supplied with the original game. This can be used with Fresh Supply by replacing the files in movie subfolder. OGV files are currently not supported by BloodGDX or NBlood, although I've been told OGV support is planned for NBlood

theres a better version if you search on Google, with double framerate (30 fps instead of 15), closer to the original look and lightning etc, also upscales the addon video file and the 2 intro videos on startup. no offense to yours, you did a good job too :)

I strongly disagree on that. While lighting-wise it is more correct, it doesn't correct the aspect ratio (320x200 in DOS is meant to be displayed at a 4:3 aspect ratio) and the framerate doubling has led to double imaging.
what is double imaging? it just looks smooth unlike the original :o

Is there any chance we could have a version of these upscaled videos without the gamma boost?

I've made much work since I released these. You can download preliminary versions of the first three FMVs here Moddb.com
Also, there's currently only one port that supports OGV that being Fresh Supply - when NBlood implements OGV support I may feel more motivated working on it =P
Ok then I'll keep using this pack until there is a new complete one that I can use with Fresh Supply.
