There's no php or mysql server running. Login data currently doesn't gets stored. The fesl server is located in the project root folder "fesl_server.nim".

It's difficult to say. This may happen if BF2142 exe is running and the unlocker cannot write to the copy (I copy BF2142.exe to BF2142Unlocker.exe inside the Battlefield 2142 folder). Could you please check if it is running (you could also delete the BF2142Unlocker.exe inside the Battlefield 2142 folder to check if it is running or not, since the unlocker copies the executable if it does not exists)?
I never installed the unlocker, because the unlocker is portable. Just extract it and run it (no need to copy it anywhere). Could you tell me what you exactly did (step by step), and if your trying to launch the game with "Just play" or trying to host a dedicated server? Without any informations it is hard to analyze what the problem caused.
hi okay this might be a dumb question but do i just click "Just Play" or do i need to click play from the BF2142 hub launcher, also i still need the files for BF2142 to use this right ?
You need Battlefield 2142 installed and patched to version 1.51. After you selected the game path in the settings (as you did since you can see the join menu) and click on "Just play". That's all. The BF2142 Hub from reclamation team is not necessary to use the unlocker. The BF2142 Hub is necessary if you want to play online.
If the unlocker isn't working for you please tell me what you did and what's not working.
Hi, is there any way to make this program work on windows xp 32 bit, please? I am using a older windows xp for a dedicated server and bf2142unlocker.exe gives the error that it isn't a 32bit application.
Would upgrading to the x64 bit version of windows xp be sufficient enough to run this program?

I never built a 32 bit release but this should be possible. Also I never built it for Windows XP (and 32 bit) and don't know if I need to change something to get it work with windows XP.
Supporting Windows XP (32 bit) is also not on my plan. Maybe in future, but I've more important features I want to implement and fix bugs.
I don't know if this solves your problem but another user got a permission problem. I currently don't know how it happened, but can try the following:
* Close BF2142Unlocker and running game
* Delete BF2142Patched.exe in the Battlefield 2142 installation folder
* Retry

If the game server cannot bind to the ip address you've passed there it will fail to load. Your description describes this behavior.
Hmm.. I never heard about such an behavior. I know that Battlefield 2142 can stuck in a black screen when it's not able to connect to the servers, but never heard about a flashing black screen.
But since it crashes maybe it's because of game resolution or refresh rate? I'm not sure.
Could you try to run the game in windowed mode (there's a setting in "Settings" tab) and see if it works?

The reason is the programming language I'm using. It's a false positive message you're getting from antiviruses.
I workarounded it for the next release but it's not a solution.

I submitted the suspicious file to microsoft and they removed it from their trojan definitions. After a windows defender update this file is no longer treated as trojan.
Does the unlocker allow offline LAN? Also when I tried to download it, my browser said "Failed - Virus Detected" and windows defender went off. Stated it found "Trojan:Win32/Ymacco.AACD"

This is a problem I heard now two or three times (or more often, dunno). I never investigated that issue since it's not caused by the unlocker, but since this is happening more often and of the reason that i want to prepare the game that it works at each user, I'm going to investigate that issue when I've time for it.
Currently I can just say, you should use google.
If this just happens with the unlocker please let me know.

Yes, all versions until 1.0.0 will not run stable, but will work.

In win7, when I click single player, BF2142Patched.exe crash. Set it to run in WinXP compatible mode and it request to insert game CD. Is this normal?

Yes, it allows you to play offline/in lan. Have a look at the comment above regarding to the trojan message.
The only solution currently is to whitelist the folder:

I managed to fix the problem by deleting the bf2142 folder in documents now my game works fine
edit: I tried using the unlocker and the black screen problem is back

Hello there, how did you removed the drones for the squad leaders ? I would like to do the same on my version of the game please.
By the way, I'm only intendng to play offline, never online so a full removal won't be a problem.
