This zip file includes the Xbox 360 controller configuration to play Battlefront II on the PC with a controller. It also includes a setup guide and layout images for the controller scheme.
Xbox 360 Controller Support
Hello! I have decided to take the time to create and upload player profiles for Battlefront II that include controller support for the Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers. These are the files for the Xbox 360 config (there's the possibility it will work with Xbox One controllers as well).
Assuming you install correctly, you should be able to simply drop the profile file in your SaveGames folder, plug in your controller, start the game, and play!
In this pack, you will find:
- Two brand new profiles for Battlefront II, and each profile has been configured to support a wired Xbox 360 controller for gameplay.
- Controller scheme pictures for guides to button controls.
- A detailed Read Me guide.
I recommend everyone interested in using this to please read the included Read Me guide, as it includes many important details and steps on how to install correctly. For those experienced with BFII, perhaps the most important aspect to mention from that guide is to adjust your screen resolution to the resolution of your monitor after you install the profile. Additionally, if you want to adjust the joystick sensitivity, just head on over to the control settings within the profile, in the menu of the game, to adjust that accordingly.
Having said that, I'm excited to share this with you all, as I know it has been often requested over at the Steam forums, and hopefully for many players this will bring back some of the fun we have had playing this game on the console. I myself have played many mods over the years using a controller on PC and it's great fun.
Here are the controller layouts I have created for the 360 profile. It should be noted that this is based on an amalgamation of the PS2 and Xbox schemes.
Simply install the profile, and have fun!
Do we have to make a SaveGames folder? I don't see that in the file location
The SaveGames folder is stored within the Gamedata folder. It should exist if you have created a profile for this game. If not, creating one wouldn't hurt, but it should be there already if you have played before with another profile.
Awesome got it to work. This is great thanks for uploading!
Can this be used with and xbox one controller also??
I have not tested it personally, but I've been told by others that it does work with an Xbox One controller when they try it.
Doesn't work for xbox one controller, i start the game and the the movement freaks out and runs in all directions. :/

I use profile number 2 and I have to admit that everything works perfectly. I just changed a few buttons functions to make the game easier.I play on the Genesis pv58 pad, it has the same software as the xbox pad.
I’m confused on how I would download this file to my Xbox 360 plz help
This file is for the PC version of Battlefront II, for playing with the 360 controller, plugged into the USB port.
Can this be used with a 360 wireless controller ?
If the 360 wireless controller is connected to the PC, yes.
I have a Chinese knockoff controller that is very obviously intended to look like the 360's. I use it in games like roblox and it detects it like a normal X360 Controller. Will it work?
I'm not sure, but always worth a shot!
