Please also check out my other mods that change the max use of items to add more visual realism to fdda. no more 3 cigs to a pack or 2 pills in a bottle of yadylin. The other adds animations to items missing them.

Thanks! I've been using it for about a week and figured Id put it up for others, It was my first time editing the loadout files so I probably wouldn't have figured it out if it wasn't for your loadout mod. The format for the magazine codes was pretty confusing!
Yeah the way the magazine mod creator made the variable names for the magazine in his files was a bit confusing, I was trying every name on try and error and finally discovered that the name needs to be in this structure "mag_wpn_ump45_11.43x23_fmj" was a bit confusing, but it worked, also you can spawn mag_wpn_ump45_11.43x23_fmj_READY, but that ignores the magazine slot limit on the suit...
Also I discovered that items that you select at the loadout, need to have a price, so I made every magazine cost 1, so players can't abuse the extra points on other things that's not magazines.
I've spended a whole afternoon figuring this out with a friend that knows programing, also in this day I've learnt Git and how to search for things in a folder in vscode, so after my discoveries making this mod actually just took 15 minutes or so!

That's impressive, I look forward to whatever your next project is. That makes my method seem barbaric haha. I started by opening mod files in notepad++ and changing things like food and medical values to make thing a bit harder.
I actually uploaded a couple of changes to the Food Drug and Drink Animation mod also, not sure if you use that addon but I noticed some items lacked animations so I made them use similar animations rather than none. The other changes the medical items max uses to add more visual realism to the game. Like no more 3 cigs to a pack or 2 pills in a bottle of yadylin.
Well I'm going to see those mods then, I'm a bit picky because I want some challenge when playing, also lore friendly, that's why I'm not using bas for personal choice
It's a great mod don't get me wrong but that's a lot of weapons, I do appreciate that some have better animations inspired in EFT and stuff but, I haven't played anomaly enough, so there are anomaly weapons that I don't even know that exists.
I do know someday I'll be using BaS just to have a new experience start and your mod will be very useful.
I Feel ya their, I've been playing Anomaly since around 2019 so the new weapons adds a bit more variety for me now.
What has been update in this new version?
I forgot to add points to buy the mags, so now you can try and use all of then instead of having 7 points to spare.
This is such a great addition to the game, it really makes you think about engagements and ammo conservation.
One thing I'm curious about, is there a way to expand the number of mags in a rig? I'm currently running the "nomad" stalker suit, and the benefits of it are great but two large and small mag slots is pretty tight. I get why that is, balance is important, just wondering if there's a mechanic I missed.
Their may be a way to edit it but it might take some time sifting through the mod files, for now id recommend Anomaly Magazines Outfit Info. It will show you how many mag can be equipped on any suit by hovering over them. Some more expensive outfits can have up to 12 mags total.
