how to load?
You will need to run it with the latest release of EDGE-Classic, which can be found at Github.com. Load order and instructions are in a text file with the AEM.zip download.
Gorgeous modelling. Noticed the xeno behavior is a bit off. Don't know how I feel about the spitting, and they're kinda slow. Seems like the regular enemies are a bigger threat. Any chance we could modify some of the behavior to be similar to Aliens: Eradication?
Or... Is there any way to replace the 2d sprites in Aliens: Eradication with your 3d models, while keeping everything else the same?
Gameplay vs realism: same as with the original AliensTC, I felt some variety was needed so spitting xenos.
The speed was also a gameplay decision, but if you need more of a challenge, go into Gameplay Options and turn on Fast Monsters ;)
Why would I do that?
Aliens: Eradication is its own mod which does what it does.
This is mine, which does its own thing.
This mod is exclusively for EDGE-Classic.
Gzdoom already has several Aliens mods.
The current version posted here is very out-of-date now: I'll be updating it when EDGE-Classic v1.3 drops since its now using many features from that version of the engine.
I just started warming up the game last night - a kind of non-challenging play run to check the settings for any possible changes, and I've got to say I was amazed at the graphics for the modest power of my PC which is generation or two above the tuber classification. No settings had to be changed. Nice job.
