Backup the _DIRECTORY_CONTENTS.BML file in the Alien Isolation/DATA/BINARY_BEHAVIOR directory. Place the contents of the zip file in the Alien Isolation/DATA/BINARY_BEHAVIOR directory. Play the game!

How so? Do you have other mods installed? If not, have you tried installing this mod a second time (I've seen users require that in the past for some reason)?
I can only tell this. At medical don't make noise until the scripted animation of Alien dropping down the vent finishes. When he walks an engage to search its safe do do whatever you want. Same goes for any other went drop down/climb up animation. Vent traps (when drool drops from the ceiling will not affect you but if enemy is chasing you alien might see/sense you due to another character making noise close to you.
Huh, I never noticed it attacking you after attacking others - it should still ignore you. Regarding vents, it does get a little tricky. If it sees you entering or leaving one, it will jump you. I haven't seen it do more that that, but I didn't try to antagonize it while it was uncoiling in Mission 5.

Thanks for the mod! So far I have discovered 1 problem: At the start of the game, if I am still on the Torrens, I and the other fellow travelers are invited to the main headquarters for a briefing. When I have installed the mod, the Captain Diane Verlaine does not react and the android Samuels does not appear in the main office either. The game then does not continue.
I have not seen this behavior - do you have other mods also installed?

I just tried out the mod and it's super useful when collecting items! There is just one minor concern. So I was in the vent and the alien was in there with me. It didn't attack me until it left the vent through the hole. Is this supposed to happen?
