Version 3.01 of Alien Armageddon, an overhaul and huge expansion for Duke Nukem 3D. This version includes the new episode Space Gladiators, in addition to all of the content from previous versions.
Elections? Pandemics? Doom? Forget that stuff – we at DukeBoss have some real news for you. It turns out that Duke Nukem IS alive, and he’s fighting as a space gladiator on Varanos, the alien homeworld.
Bombshell is playable, too – some even say she has a better arsenal than Duke's. And yes, it’s the same alien empire that invaded L.A. back in the day, now led by the maniacal Emperor Braccus. If our heroes lose a single match in Fragathon 96 (that’s the tournament) the aliens will return to Earth in full force and we will all be enslaved.
To win Fragathon, you'll need to win games of Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Control, and Survival. In between matches, you can buy upgrades to your weapons and other equipment with your winnings and explore the Gladitorium where you will meet many new NPCs. Rise through the rankings until you… reach the climax of the story, which we won’t spoil for you.
Alien Armageddon: Space Gladiators also includes all of the previous content, but with a year worth of improvements. You just need the data file from the base game of Duke Nukem: 3D to install, and with this mod you get two all-new episodes, two of the old expansions (improved for AA), and loads of other content, including new and improved weapons, enemies, effects and features.
So. Come get some.
update: 3.01 includes a censored tiles options so that players can have a PG experience. Also, 3.01 addresses an issue where swinelords could randomly spawn to replace regular pigcops while playing the original episodes.
Awesome! Downloading! :3
look man, nice mod,i like cool changes, and i always appreciate a mod that incorporates the old unused dnf ideas BUT REAL TALK. That new red pig cop mini boss is out of line, unbalanced, broken,***** up the flow. if u told me to shove it and get good id agree all the way right up until this bastard spawns in ep1m3 guarding the doors panels while u have no weapons and no means to defend yourself. nerf that bastard or relegate his spawns to battlelord encounters otherwise playing through ep1 without god mode becomes a game of russian roulette
You can open AAUSER.CON inside the scripts folder and disable enemy randomisation in classic maps.
thanks, i might just do that.the rng is the only thing holding this back from greatness for me.
95% of our testing focused on the new episode which doesn't have any RNG spawns. But yeah you can turn that off like phredreeke said, it's the second line in AAUSER.CON, just change the YES to a NO and that should fix it for you.
Hello I am newer to the modding scene. I am trying to do the same thing but nothing seems to be happening. Do I need to download a certain program for me to be able to change any of the CON settings? Does this also disable the newer enemy types from the classic episodes? I am still getting used to the game and the newer enemy types have made it hard to learn the map, especially since I am used to the classic versions of the game haha.
i tested it u gotta the run the eduke.exe first, leave the game and then go to the scripts file from there you'll find aauser.con turn it into a notepad and like ol boi said it should be the second line of code. all it does and disable all new enemies for the classic maps but not the expansions since their placements are preset.
Hi, if you change something in a CON file, the changes do not take effect until you start a new game.
Also, I have just updated the download to patch out the random swinelords replacing pigcops. I recommend just going ahead and playing the Gladiator episode. There's a reward at the end that will actually help with the other episodes.
Thank you so much! Am excited to get my feet wet with this mod :)
Playing this now. Absolutely incredible! Love the new baddies and weapons! You guys did an awesome job! 10/10

Thank you, Nukem1994. Feel free to stop by our Discord server, too.
Hey, great to see another update! During my playthrough I encountered a few game-breaking bugs though.
When I got to the Cycloid Jr. boss battle, he stayed on the bottom of a hole, which I think was supposed to be an elevator going up?
Another thing that happened was that the AI companion (Bombshell/Duke) couldn't enter the Cycloid Jr. arena for some reason, it got stuck in front of the building and was unable to follow the player.
Other than that pretty much nothing... Is that something that happened just on my end or is there something wrong with the game?
There's a touchplate which triggers the elevator that brings the boss up. It has worked for us in every test. I just tested again to make sure, and it worked again.
Did you get hold of a jetpack and fly over any sectors leading up to the boss? Did you do a big jump and maybe skip over the sector? Scratching my head, trying to figure out how the elevator didn't trigger for you. EDIT: Just checked the map and even a flyover shouldn't prevent that from triggering.
Weird. I'll check it out again to see if I did something wrong...
In theory the trigger should be impossible to skip. I sent you a PM.
I think I found the source of the problem. It will be fixed in the next patch (projected date of patch March 12). It had to do with shooting the patrolling drones earlier in the level. There's a chance that doing that can cause the elevator to come up. Then when you reach the trigger to raise the elevator, since it is already up, the trigger makes it go down.
this update looks promising. but what's up with the controller support for the EDuke included? like the control sticks were WAY to out of wack, even when trying to customize what they do
Are you saying controller support was better in older versions of Eduke32? Maybe it was, but that's news to me. I consider this a mouse and keyboard affair.
somehow i knew you were gonna say that. but yes it seemed so. i remember the older version of the mod, i changed the EDuke from it for one that had controller support
I played through the new episode and loved it, love the upgrading stuff and the gamesmodes/arenas, the story was great too.
Only downside, if you finshed it ends, no more arena fights, hope in future, we get an endless mode, or even more upgrades.
!!SPOILER WARNING: NEXT CHUNK OF TEXT CAN SPOIL YOUR GAME: WARNING END!!!
And the reward is not really great, so far, because the episodes are so short, that you can't really use the "new reward", maybe a "endless mode" or how you want to call it, I mean if you complete a episode its starts the next episode with all your "unlocked" stuff, but for every completed episode the enemies get stronger/are swaped with the stronger ones and you can find stuff for your "reward" in secret places and around the Levels, even in the classic Episodes
PS: sorry for my bad english
PS2: and sorry for the long crazy wall of text over the "reward", hope the devs will understand it, if not I can write you a PM if needed.
Thanks for the detailed comments! And you are right, the perk you get for finishing the new episode might seem a little underwhelming. In the future I plan to make a special mode just like you want, modelled on my Attrition mod, where you can play through a huge number of map with enemies increasing in difficulty as you gain XP and choose from many different upgrades. I just didn't have time to make that yet.
Great mod but how to set low res 16:9? Like 426x240 or something like that?
i am kinda stuck on progress on the new episode. it's before the 1 on 1 with that character the emperor brings in to stop you. says i need to do Denova's story. but i don't know what it is
*spoilers*
Make sure that you used the 2nd keycard given to you by Deanova earlier. You use it in the monitoring room where you unlocked the library. The 2nd keycard unlocks a door in the kitchen area (check the viewscreen in the monitoring room). In that secret area of the kitchen you will find a data crystal. Bring it back to the library and install it next to the history simulator, then do the next simulation.
well i managed to complete it, though i did need to use God Mode at times. cause holy **** some of the levels can make your game feel sluggish in performance. the finale level though. as much as it looks cool. but holy **** it's easy to get lost. i had to ******* use noclip at times to make progress
That's weird I thought the last level was quite linear for a Duke 3D level.
in some places maybe. but others. holy crap. i mean no offense to whoever made the level

WOW this mod is amazing. Truly a work of art, thank you for sharing it with us. Is there any plan to include babe rescues for random power ups like in Nuclear Showdown? I feel bad killing them all the time. Also, my turrets keep shooting missiles at me for some reason.
Thanks! Babe saving is something we're looking into for future releases.
As for the turret shooting at you, that should be fixed in the next patch.
