This is a user_script mod that enables AI Heroes on all maps. AI Heroes aren't able to enter any vehicles or turrets.
The script will not activate when playing Campaign, Galactic Conquest or on a map which already uses Archer01's AI Hero Support.
This script reads data from Hero Settings:
Heroes - If you turn off Heroes, then no AI Heroes will spawn.
Unlock Hero - If set to Timer, AI Heroes will spawn after x seconds based on the value of the slider. If Points is selected, AI Heroes will spawn after 5 seconds.
Hero Respawn - Once defeated, AI Heroes will respawn after x seconds based on the value of the slider.
AI Hero VO:
When an AI Hero spawns or gets defeated, a VoiceOver will play alerting players. (With the exception of defeating custom heroes). If you set Hero Respawn to "Always", then no VoiceOvers will play.
AI Hero Options:
I've added support for tweaking some settings by checking for optional files. This means you can change some things just by dropping in some files.
The following files would go in ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\AIHeroOptions
hero_override_on.txt - AI Heroes will always spawn regardless if Heroes are off in the in-game Hero Options page.
hero_override_off.txt - AI Heroes will never spawn regardless if Heroes are on in the in-game Hero Options page.
hero_vo_off.txt - The VoiceOvers will never play when AI Heroes spawn or get defeated.
NoForcePowers.lvl - AI Heroes will not use Saber Throw or Force Lightning.

Installation:
Extract the user_script_<#>.lvl of your choice to ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC
(Optional) Extract the AIHeroOptions folder (with your desired setting files) to ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC
Uninstallation:
Remove the user_script_<#>.lvl from ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC
(Optional) Remove the AIHeroOptions folder (if installed) from ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC
Requirements: The UnOfficial v1.3 patch r129+ or greater.

So whats the diference between some of the other scripts apart from the VOs which i do enjoy hearing with this mod?

There's no difference between "user_script_11.lvl" or "user_script_12.lvl". Those files are the same, the reason I included _12 was in-case someone was already using _11 from another mod.
And like you know, "_novo" versions just wont have the VoiceOvers play when AI Heroes spawn or get defeated.
i assume this just works on vanilla maps, right?
This works on all maps, including custom maps too.
The only time the script wont run on a custom map, is if the map's using Archer01's AI Hero Support.
Thanks for making this. Could you comment on if it is possible to space out the spawns? It is just when a game first starts both sides instantly spawn a hero in and it overlaps the dialogue
Hi. Are you talking about making it so Team 1's Hero spawns, then x seconds later spawn Team 2's Hero? Or are you talking about delaying the initial spawn when first starting a map?
Because you can change the initial spawn delay yourself, since this mod reads settings from the Hero Settings menu. If you leave the Hero Unlock at "Points", then it defaults to 5 second spawn delay. But if you set it to "Time", it'll use the value from the Time slider, so you can set it to 10 or 30 second delay, etc.
Same can be done for Hero Respawn, you can set it to anything from Always to Never.

Ah okay. Yeah if you go to Hero Settings on the left-side of the map select page in-game, you can switch the Hero Unlock Rule to Time, and then you can change the slider to whatever time you want. That way they can spawn 15 seconds after initial spawn, etc.

Great mod Ray I think I posted my mod wrong though since with the script only one side (my side) gets an ai spawned hero, am I doing something wrong or could be the custom map itself?
It could be the custom map, or it could be a bug in the script. Which map are you playing? I'll try to track down the map so I can test it out myself and see what's wrong.
Sorry it took me a while to respond I was testing each and every map of the normal and the conversion pack maps they work just fine. I tested some outside maps and he custom map I was playing was the one with the problem, false alarm. The script works just fine.

I'm afraid the script doesn't work at all for me. I have deleted all my other mods and it still doesn't work
Did u put the user script in your _LVL_PC files mods shouldn't really conflict with this as far as ik

Or maybe other scripts are conflicting with it maybe take out some of them and see if the issue lies there
Scripts go in an order. So if you are using user script 11 go to 12 is you are using 12 use 13 and so on and so forth. So it goes in numerical order.

Thank you so much for putting this up! I only saw this option with the Ultimate Pack 5.4 and the author did not want to share such an ingenious script. The additional scripts are very much appreciated for those using the skin changer mod or others. Fantastic work.

Yes it does. This also works with the Conversion Pack as well. Basically the script should work with every map/mode that has Heroes.
I'm trying to install this mod, only the part "NoForcePowers.lvl" I dropped it by itself into my lvl_pc folder, and started the game. But it didn't work, they are still using force powers. What am I doing wrong?
In your ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC folder, create a new folder called "AIHeroOptions". In that folder is where "NoForcePowers.lvl" gets placed.
I found it best to keep these optional settings in a separate folder.
I tried that, they are still using saber throw and force powers. Is there a step im missing? All I did was I made a folder named AIHeroOptions and put it in the lvl_pc folder, and started the game.
I moved the folder into there, and only left "NoForcePowers.lvl" in there, still I started a match and they were throwing the lightsaber
Have u got anyother scripts Eg Script_10 is installed therefore u should have script_11 for the AI Heros

If u only have script 10 in the folder if not then the next number of scripts u have
Example i have 14_scripts i would use script 15 from the folder
So by it not working in Galactic Conquest, does that mean that it doesn't work altogether there or will it work when the AI chooses the hero upgrade?
It wont work at all in Galactic Conquest. I don't know if there's a way to make it work when the AI chooses the Hero Upgrade, but I don't think there is.

I'm having trouble getting this mod to work, I placed the script file in it's proper place, I have the unofficial patch, is there something I'm missing perhaps?
Which user_script file did you place in ...\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC? You'll want whichever is higher than the one currently there.
So you should have had user_script_10.lvl already there when you installed the Unofficial Patch, then you'd place my user_script_11.lvl there. The AIHeroOptions stuff is optional and up to you if you want any of them.
Disregard, turns out the unofficial patch from the Nexus is outdated. All is well. Thank you for this wondrous mod, my experience is now complete! The voice overs are a nice touch as well.

The mod itself is very awesome! I love that it is compatible with the side mods that I use. I love it, makes very interesting boss battles!
I have suggestion though, I am sure alot of people would want this. Can you make it where the hero doesnt have a decreasing health? I would love if you could alter that.
Does this collaborate with the other user scripts? Because I notice it doesnt spawn even after I have set it for no time limit it spawns after 2 minutes
It should be working fine alongside other user_scripts. I know it works alongside my other scripts, but it should be working with anything else too.
What other user_scripts are you using?

The hero/villian is supposed to spawn instantly. I dont get that, it instead spawns after 2 mins

This is nice! btw you have made the 'no force power' option to disable jedi's secondary attack, is it possible to further make a script to disable normal troopers' secondary attack?

This totally turns Battlefront back into the way I remember playing it on console, with the added bonus of being able to use it on custom maps AND even better! Without having to worry about saber throw and lightening spam! Thank you so much for making this!!!

The script doesn't seem to work for me. I added it and AI Heros won't spawn. I also have the 1.3 r130 patch and the HD graphics mod with improved sides installed. Are one of these causing problems?
The AI heroes can spawn on galactic conquest. At least for me
