Description

Because of the build queue problem; I have decided to make a version without build limits. Update: Fixed an issue with the crate descriptions.

Sorry to have to do this to you but...

The crates reveal the FOW around them so you can see them.

Your opponent can also see the revealed area around the crate.

Another mod had a problem like this with a building.

Can you remove the FOW reveal?

(Fog Of War)

Can you also remove the smoke delay on the satelite drop ect that are collected from crates? They are too easy to avoid when the smoke comes.

I hit that crate again.....

As soon as I touched it the game closed and stoped responding!

It may have been the shroud crate, but I have collected most of the crates on the list but not:

-Shroud reveal

-Corrosion crate

-Stealth shield

-Lockdown crate

Look through those crates and see if there is a problem with them or other crates.

Oh, one more thing, when a crate is collected by the opponent and a paradrop happens i can see the people drop onto the collected area and a radius around that. Again see if it can be removed.

Dont take this as critisism but as help to find the kinks with your mod and sort them out.

Hope this helped :)

It crashed when you collected it? I thought that might be an AI issue somehow but it appears that is is a compatibility issue with your system. I have no way of testing for those.

Does not second issue happen with orbital Drops and Balloon bombs too or just paradrops?

It is an issue with the crate itself and what it does, not me.

All drops- baloons,orbital drop ect.

I am not sure. I run XP pro with an ATI 3870, a 2.7 gig AMD dual core and over 3 gigs of ram (4 gigs actually but XP does not know that lol)

It's one crate that causes it that I know of.

Windows vista is a Failed Product, almost not compatible for gaming.

I forgot that I added the FoW reveal already. It is meant to help people find crates on large maps. I also would like to make the crate itself actually appear on radar; provided the code allows it to.

And the time bomb has a timer. Those crates are mainly for the off chance a crate appears in your base. Then it is like "oh, crap what did I just do" lol

Time to start narrowing this crash problem down. Try playing the game with crates off, with different factions and on different maps. Then post your results in the forum. I'll create a topic for this.

sorry, but the build limit was just too painful. It's still a cool mod though :)

Don't worry, I have other ideas about how to force diversity into the next no limits version. :)

Anyone having crashing issues:

When running on XP, try to have a disk inside the CD/DVD in the drive, while playing the mod. This might fix the problem.

For Vista users, enable Admin privleges and put compability to XP Service Pack 2(SP2 sometimes). This should fix any crashing issues.
