Age of Empires 3 is a wonderful game we love and admire, however, to many of us it felt somewhat confining with numerous annoying restrictions and limitations put down by the game developers. Personally, I always wanted something more... unchained. The idea of removing restrictions and unleashing the game's full potential to provide the best Age of Empires 3 experience to date, as well as modernizing the game to answer today's standards is the very foundation upon which the mod has been built.

Installation instructions:
Make sure you're installing the mod on the clean and unmodded and preferably on a freshly installed Age of Empires 3: The Asian Dynasties. If in doubt - delete and reinstall the game.
Download the mod archive and extract its contents into your Age of Empires 3/bin folder, where the agey.exe file is, click overwrite when prompted. To start simply launch agey.exe or, if you're using steam, launch "The Asian Dynasties".
Do make a backup of the game folder in case you'll want to get back to vanilla, because the mod overwrites "The Asian Dynasties" expansion.
If you face any issues getting the mod to work, consider reading a detailed installation guide => Moddb.com
If even that doesn't help, please describe your issue in the comments of the Detailed installation guide. Issues related to installation process will be answered only there.

Is it possible to use this mod along side with ImpMod?
Unfortunately no, combining mods like that is impossible.
And in case of such a well done mod as Improvement Mod, I would suggest you play it as it is, since it was carefully balanced with current settings and features increased population limit/other extensions you probably didn't know about.
A small update has been released to completely perfect what I have been working on so far, it includes:
- AI fixes, to make singleplayer experience more challenging and rewarding.
- A bunch of small miscelaneous visual fixes.
Download the mod again to get the newest version.

Make sure your friend installed the mod too.
