This is a mod I put together for Shadow of Chernobyl. It is a mod for the purists that transforms vanilla SoC into Glorious true HD.

;STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl Absolute HD Remaster 2023 v1.0
;=============================================================
;----------------------------
;Introduction
;----------------------------
Absolute HD Remaster is a mod for the purist, the people who enjoy Shadow of Chernobyl for what it is with very few added mods (if any) but wish the game was visually and technically much more up to modern standards. It takes all of the vanilla textures, normal\parallax maps and remasters them to 2x, 4x, or 8x their original resolution taking into consideration the type of texture and the size of mesh and\or level geometry it is applied to.
For anyone still working with old X-Ray the HD textures have also been optimized to fit within the original non-64bit aware XR_3DA memory budget of around 3.5GB but some minor adjustments are likely needed, namely, me releasing a lower resolution vehicle textures pack.
This mod also addresses only the real nuts and bolts of SoC adding a few quality of life additions for a rounded experience:
OGSR 2.1.320 to preserve maximum compatibility and usability for users (DX9,10,11 rendering options)
ABC Sleeping mod
Traders can repair weapons and armour
Stalker Weather Overhauled v3.1
This mod has also been developed to be as bug-free as possible, hence the OGSR binaries which fix a countless number of issues old X-Ray has leading to instability issues and CTDs.
;--------------------------------------
;What This Mod Doesn't Do
;--------------------------------------
Some textures are of such a poor quality remastering to HD is impossible in these cases AHR (Ahrrr!) uses textures from my big still in WIP mod (also for Shadow of Chernobyl), Stalker: Singularity (SIN).
;--------------------------
;How To Install
;--------------------------
1. Drop contents of the archive into your main Stalker directory.
2. Launch the game with xrEngine.exe in the bin_64 folder.
If you want just the textures and none of the quality of life additions delete all of the folders in the Gamedata folder except for (duh) the Textures folder and don't copy the bin_64 folder.

;Usage & hosting of this mod\textures

You can use my textures in your own project as long as credit is given and the project does NOT involve money of any kind.

Hi, Stalker SoC absolute HD works incredibly, however i just noticed that i have a ton of money (9000000 RU) at the start of the game. Is there a way to disable this option?
Oh whoops that's a bit of custom scripting I did for testing. Uploading a patch now to fix it.
Just checked, everything works, thanks a lot.
Hello, I have a problem with running the game via Bin_x64 because I get an error that OpenAL32.dll was not found. I tried to transfer from Bin_32 but I get a message that the application was not launched properly (0xc000007b)
You need to download the latest OpenAL and install it from here; Openal.org
Hi, thx for the package! Trouble is I have sorted out the OpenAL32.dll problem, now I am at the 0xc000007b-problem. I have downloaded the Open AL installer but I don't know what to do with it... I opened it in BreeZip but don't know how to proceed. Thx in advance for helping out.
Place the OpenAL32.dll file directly into the bin_x64 folder.
Just extract the contents of the archive from the openal website and double-click it to start the installer ;) Are you using Steam or GoG? This mod I made on a retail copy of SoC v1.0006.

Hey there, the improved graphics look amazing! I'm trying to add additional gamedata files I've already edited to my liking under config/misc and config/weapons but the changes are not showing up in-game. How do I fix this?
I'd need to know what files you've edited to say what the issue is. Shoot me a PM or something.
Oops, apparently this was just a mistake on my part! I was importing the original .ltx files instead of the edited ones. All is good! :)
