The project “Novacore” was founded in April 2009 as an academic spin-off by Andre Overhagen and Peter Seydel. Both founders had obtained their diploma in applied information science at University Duisburg-Essen and successfully finished a course in Small-Business-Management (SBM). Among many competing concepts for start-up companies, the project was awarded with a fantastic third prize in the competition “StartUp-Duisburg 2008”.
