miHoYo was founded in 2012 by three Shanghai Jiaotong University graduate students who shared a passion for technology and ACG (anime, comics, and games) culture. These otakus formed what has become not just a game company, but an original IP creator with its own anime, manga, light novels, music, and more that expand upon the engaging worlds and stories of games. Besides producing ACG content, miHoYo also is a tech-driven company, even developing its own proprietary rendering technology. This combination of technical prowess and unique IP has led miHoYo to find success both in China and around the globe. The miHoYo team strives every day to create "something new, something out of this world, something out of imagination..."
