Double-Cross Studios, responsible for the Totaler Krieg 1939-45 modification for Men of War & Men of War: Assault Squad respectively. Members include founder, developer, creator, animator, texturer and modeller; myself, Heer_Sturmfuhrer, as well as map creators and beta-testers who contribute.

History

Double-Cross Studios was founded by me, Herr Sturmfuehrer back in 2015 as a forum to unite all contributors and members that use moddb, however, the project at its core started back in late 2008 on a totally different foundation.

I originally set out to create a lowly skin pack for the niche fan favourite RTS, Men of War. This original idea rapidly escalated to encompass a complete human soldier model pack as my skills and abilities broadened allowing me to fulfill my aspirations to create a somewhat realistic mod for Men of war.

Before I knew it however what started out as a skin pack, slowly morphed into its owned full fledged modification. The name changed many times, eventually settling on Totaler Krieg 1939-45 which was chosen to represent the mods ethos of a German orientated take on WW2, which was in essence a total war waged by Germany from 1943 onwards. I had grand ambitions to create a mod which followed the German war machine from the very first battles to the final curtain call in Berlin 1945. This, I soon realised was overly ambitious, however I eventually decided to create a good enough foundation, based solely on realistic values, introduces new features, overhauling all human models, vehicle sounds, weapon sounds, ambience, entourage models, interface and Ui changes to create a seemingly totally different gaming experience to that of the base game. I ultimately hope that once completed, Totaler Krieg will be in such a finalized state that once released to the public, the community as one can add in the content such as maps, missions and campaigns that I as the sole developer was unable to finish.

In addition to the core coding, models and image assets created for Totaler Krieg, I have also dabbled in creating game music for the modification and have spent some personal funds developing models and commissioning artwork assets such as logos to watermark and promote Totaler Krieg.
