Back in 2013, the Chinese mobile games market were flooded by cash grabs knock-offs of popular game mechanics. Many game companies wanted to capitalize on this booming period when the market had not yet become very competitive.
Dotoyou Games was also founded this year because the three co-founders want to take a different approach for competition by making games that have its own characteristics, which they believe are much easier to stand out.
Koi is the first fruition out of this mindset. It indeed was well-received because of its unique art direction and gameplay.
Incredible Mandy, our second game with more game content and ambition, is a much bigger step toward this direction.
