ASDESIGNED GAMES LTD are an independent games developer focused on creating the very best mobile, tablet, and browser games. We are now looking for a talented gameplay programmer to join us as we put the final touches to our first mobile game; Impatient Squirrel.

This is a volunteer role expected to run for around two months, with an immediate start. While we cannot guarantee monetary remuneration at this time, we are happy to discuss with you a targets based bonuses scheme which will ensure that your work will be rewarded and you will be financially compensated following the game’s success.

Working with this new IP, you will be using Unity (version 4.3.4) to implement new and exciting gameplay features and create the best player experience possible.

This dynamic role will cover a range of coding skills so would be suited to someone with a good understanding of animation, graphics, sound and tools. The majority of the development work has already been completed, so much of your time will be in bug fixing, polish, and preparing the game for its iOS launch.

This is an amazing opportunity to be at the heart of an exciting start up studio, where you can have a real impact on the development and growth of the company, and requires a sharp and keen individual with a passion for mobile games. It would also be a great portfolio builder for a current student, recent graduate, or someone looking to enter the games industry.

Key duties include:
• Writing and maintaining solid and robust code to strict deadlines
• Evaluate the feasibility of design direction for difficulty of implementation, time, and priority
• Taking part in the design process and SCRUM meetings

Essential Requirements:
• Experience in using Unity
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a small team or individually
• Have your own equipment from which to work on
• Hard working and pro-active

Desirable Requirements:
• Be easily contactable during regular UK office hours (09:00-17:30 BST)
• Experience of mobile games development (particularly iOS)
• Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
