The Maze 0.9 addon

Story:
...you are John Stone, a recent marine recruit, on a hiking weekend with your girlfriend, Jane Carver. An encounter with a strange metallic object propels both into a madman's realm. An unknown force tasks you to work your way through a series of mazes of increasing difficulty and populated with dangerous enemies in order to save Jane. Trapped in a water tank, with a rising level, every second is crucial to her survival...

You need to download the patch and update the Beta v0.9 to v1.0.

This is an application of the Cryengine to a maze type puzzle.
The concept is good, but for me it was unplayable.
You begin with a very cool weapons selection area. As you enter the first of three mazes, the timer begins the countdown. With a rough pencil sketch to go by, the mazes are easy meat, with a few easy mutants and plenty of medikits etc.

Here it became unplayable. On exiting the first maze, well within the time limit, the game crashed to the Main Menu screen. It was necessary to no-clip to the beginning of the second maze. Same story with the second and third mazes. When you reach the water tank at the end of the level, the game locked up my computer, requiring a re-boot.
It looked like a decent hour's entertainment, so if someone was able to play right through or can solve the problems, I would be interested to hear about it.
