Initial release
The image file has the following contents:
Decals Layers - Recreation of warning labels and other details on the aircraft
Unpainted Layers - Details from the original textures which are not painted
Default Texture - Copy of the original weapon texture with default filename
Alpha Mask - Mask of the painted areas of the weapon model
UV Map - The boundaries of the weapon model
Panels/Weathering - Details like panel lines, rust, grime, etc. that make the appearance more realistic
INSTRUCTIONS
Place your layers below the Panels/Weathering layer and other detail/highlights layers.
If using GIMP, use the Bucket tool to change the color of included layers.
When preparing your texture for use in-game, be sure it is named appropriately.
The default texture with its original name is included for convenience.
NOTE: replacing the texture for the weapon replaces it for EVERY skin
and for EACH of the aircraft that can carry it.
