SamediMod v2.0 for Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption Coded By: Trickster trickster@nullityvoid.com-------------------------------Description: Allows you to play the Samedi bloodline in multiplayer with the added discipline of Thanatosis.
Installation: This can be kinda complex so try your best and remember to BACK UP EVERYTHING.
1. Create the directories "misc" and "strings" under your main Redemption directory if they do not exist already.
2. Copy the following files found in this archive to the misc directory: effects.ned game.ncd game.ndd game.ndg
3. Copy the system.nls file to the strings directory.
4. Create the directory "ui" under your main Redemption directory if it does not already exist. Under the "ui" directory create the "icons" directory. 5. Copy all files containing "Icon" in the file name to the "ui/icons" directory you just created.
6. Open up your Codex.nob file (found in your main Redemption Directory) using Winzip.
7. Select Add and add the following files to the archive. *********REMEMBER TO SET COMPRESSION TO ZERO!!!!********** (People have not been doing this and it will totally mess up your game)

8. Close Winzip, run the game and now you select Samedi from the character creation menu! Have fun!
Upgrade Note: You may have to delete your previous Samedi characters if you are upgrading from a previous version.
Multiplayer Note: In order for others to see you as a Samedi they MUST have this mod installed on their machine as well.

Version Updates: version 2.0: Lots of changes!!! Updated all disciplines to coincide with the PnP version instead of Minds Eye Theatre. Added new Thanatosis levels Necrosis, Dust To Dust, and Putrescent Servitude. Added icons for all disciplines thanks to Krypt. version 1.75: Redid casting effects on Putrefaction and Withering. version 1.7: Fixed Ashes To Ashes so only one icon shows while active. version 1.5: Did some balancing of Putrefaction and Withering.

(Taken from "Laws of the Night" Minds Eye Theatre book)The Samedi bloodline may be an offshoot of the Nosferatu, or possibly a branch of theGiovanni, but neither clan will take the credit (or the blame?) for these Kindred.The Samedi bloodline has only been around for a few hundred years, and very few ofthese Kindred have come to the United States. Easily identified by the shreds of rottingflesh constantly falling from their bodies, the Samedi are often confused with zombiesby those unfamiliar with them. This bloodline claims no allegiances, but is known to havemembers in both the Sabbat and the Camarilla. Those who have done battle with the Samediseldom forget the experience, for the bloodline has the power to rob other Kindredof ther immortality -- at least temporarily.

Thanatosis Information:
Putrefaction - Causes target to decompose rapidly. Does a shot of lethal damage to target. Amount of damage increases as your discipline level increases. Also gives target a negative to apperance for a certain duration. Duration increases as your discipline level increases.
Ashes To Ashes - Turns caster into a pile of heavy dust. You can not be attacked in this form. Duration of transformation increases as discipline level increases. If you move while in this form you automatically go back to humanoid form.
Withering - Wither target's limbs with a touch. Does a shot of bashing damage to target. Amount of damange increases as your discipline level increases. Also gives target a negative to dexterity for a certain duration. Duration increases as your discipline level increases.
Necrosis - Rots target enemy. Does a shot of aggrivated damaged to target. Amount of damage increases as your discipline level increases. Also gives target a negitve to strength, dexterity and stamina for a certain duration. Duration increases as your discipline level increases.
Dust To Dust - Turns caster into a pile of heavy dust. Same as Ashes To Ashes except you may move freely in this form. Duration increases as level increases.
Putrescent Servitude - Makes a servant out of target enemy or corpse. Target will fight faithfully by your side for the duration of the discipline. The duration increases as your discipline level increases. This effect is lethal to all sentient beings (including Vampires) so they are automatically destroyed at the end of the duration. Corpses of course return to being dead when the effect wears off.
