A small city/sewer map that has been invaded by aliens.
Everything time I try to load this map it just seems to freeze EDuke32.
Or maybe does it take a long time to load ? :/
Are you using the latest version of EDuke32?
The loading should almost be instantaneous unless you're using HRP which isn't recommended for this map.
I was indeed using the HRP and I believe I was using the latest build of EDuke32 as well. But updating EDuke32 and turning off the HRP didn't help.
It still freezes up EDuke32 and the music keeps playing the same note that played the moment it freezed up (if that can help...).
Very very odd. From the playtesters I had and those few that have played this final version haven't had any issues whatsoever. You can play the original game just fine, right? No freezing issues there?
Have you tried playing in any other render like 8-bit or Polymer? Polymost is known to have issues regarding TROR so avoid using that if that's what you've been using.
My bad: I thought eduke32.com provided the latest build but it's not the case. I downloaded the latest build on dukeworld and it's all good now ! :)
Thought it was something map related, good thing it wasn't, heh. Hope you enjoyed it.
I finally managed to run the level and finished it: the level detail is really excellent. Just one thing: it's too short ! :(
Also, I had some troubles to activate the end switch. I had to use the no clip cheat to get on the sector next to the switch to activate it.
I believe the glitch with the nuke sign at the end is because of the sprites covering the ceiling and floors of the same sector and thus they conflict or something when you try to activate the switch. You can still activate it however; try and stand on the very left of the sign while spamming the use key.
Yeah very nice attention to detail, I loved that starting point right outside of the apartment, dominatrix house, good detail indeeed. Rubber ducky FTW, but I honestly thought the gameplay was barely average, and it was very short even for a map.. like its some small part of something much greater.. wonder what your upto these days.
