I'm curious whether will you publish the guide to change the position of the SPW position. I have made some mods for replacing the model of aircraft and weapons. During the tests I did with my friend, the weapon positions can influence the MP obviously if someone maliciously (imagines shooting the missiles hundreds of meters in front of the aircraft). So if you publish the guide you are working for, the MP might be a mess. The method of replacing the aircraft model is similar to that of replacing the weapons models. We can do something like changing the collision body to avoid cheating in MP, but it's hard to ensure someone does not explore something by themselves. I personally suggest do not publish any guide about model replacing. Please consider carefully, thanks.
Ace Combat 7 has had 2 years to sort this out. If an honor system is all it takes to keep the MP from falling apart, then it was a mess from the start.
just curious, could you make one with a single full sized plane, applyed to the standadrd missiles, so when you shoot one, it comes from your plane, and when you shoot the seccond, it comes frome that second plane? that will give the fake feeling that you have a competent wingman that follows you and also, get kills
ok, thanks for the awnser, is it possible to do this same mod with a single full sized fishbed? i dont really know how AC7 mods works, but im gessing you are changing the model of the gunpods to a mig, right? so any projectile bassed secondary like the lasers or the rocket pods, can be changed into planes models, that look like they are the ones shooton that secondary, is that right?
The problem is, many planes share the same weapon models, so changing a weapon model will often affect every plane that uses them in their loadout.
For example, replacing R-60 (Standard missile for Russian aircraft) model will be reflected on every Russian aircraft, some ground units, and every single NPC aircraft including US, EU, and Japan types.
i see, but for example, changing the two laser pods that the F-15 (and some other planes, but i think that weapon y player exclusive) to, lets say, a shinden model, wouldnt make it look like is that shinden following you and shooting the laser instad of you? i really like the idea of your mod, and as long as the planes are real size, instead of mini versions, could make it look like at least another pilot other than you can get kills, like in this mod, instad of having a bunch of mini winmates, if they were full sized will look like you have a squad following and shooting, sorry if im being anoying, by the way
thanks, just one last question, im gessing that if you change the missiles, lets say the 6 long range missiles from the shinden, by shinden models themselves, instead of looking like those planes are the ones shooting them, will look like they are kamikazing themselves against the enemies, or are two separated models for the weaponry atached to the plane and the ones that are being fired? by the way, cant wait to check that guide of your, anything that makes the game feel like you have at least a few competent partners will help a lot in the inmersion
Is it possible to change the range of the MGP to be much longer? I've seen seen EML and TLS range mods, so I was wondering if the machine gun pods could be seriously lengthened in singleplayer. It would be really fun to play.
Will the muzzle position influence the balance in MP?

That's not something AC7 modding can achieve.

Yeah, that's possible. The extra planes won't have any animation or effects, and its center of rotation would be tied to the player aircraft itself.
The guide I'm developing will explore this very concept.

It'll be the first scenario. The 6AAM change will also be reflected on F-15J's HCAA, which uses the same model for the weapon.
