Description

This addon will add EXACTO capability to the M95 rifle. I wasn't sure if this is valid in any way as an addon, but oh well, here it is. I put it in HUD category because it is essentially vanilla BF2 M95, and not a new model. Anyways. EXACTO stands for EXtreme ACcuracy Tasked Ordnance, developed by DARPA. It is essentially a weapon system that can fire 'smart bullets', bullets that can track target on it's own. It is basically a real life aimbot. Now, why i made this? Because i couldn't find any around for me to try out. So i 'tweaked' the M95's file to have target tracking ability, and the bullet to be able to guide itself onto target. And here we have the thing. If anyone has anything to say, please do. This is my first ever work into modifying the game myself. Well, all that said, make sure you read the instruction, and have a blast hitting enemies without precise aim.

I don't test it yet but it seems good & actually interesting! what kind of target object you use? modified unique target obj? do it more mate. 10/10

I set the soldiers to have heat signature by the use of HeatObject. I haven't tested out the unique target yet, as i'm still unsure how it works. I tried laser target but also unsure how it really works as it didn't acquire lock.

I think u should use TV or laser painter guidance system. remember to give yr locking angle a narrow size to avoid mistakes.

You need to make a hand on python to do this efficiently!

I see. I should try and experiment with those. I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of things in the codes. However, with trial and error, i might be able to pull it off. Thanks for the suggestion

After locking and exiting from lod1, the locking sound effect cannot be eliminated

Yes, this is an issue i already pointed out in the instructions. I have yet to figured out how to fix this. I will continue experimenting and will update if i managed to fix the issue. But until then, enter lod1 towards a direction with no enemies. That will break the lock and eliminate the lock sound.
