A single player map structured like vanilla Mirror's Edge, move through a mix of rooftops, interiors and puzzles.
The client has left their package for pickup in their office, near Westside Commons. Merc puts Faith on the job, once she picks up the package she is to deliver it a few blocks East, but things never go according to plan.
This map has been a personal side project for me for the last two and a half years. While not technically finished, there's more than enough to revisit Mirror's Edge's mechanics on a new map.
Installation is included in a txt file, if you would like to see instructions here please scroll below the images.
To install (Windows):
Place the "EA Games" folder into your Documents folder. It should merge without overwriting anything (unless you already have another map installed).
To play, start up Mirror's Edge, go to Chapter Select, and play Prologue - The Edge.
One of the most detailed custom maps,if not the most detailed none. The only thing that bugged me the most was the absence of any traffic on the streets but otherwise a fantastic map. I'm suprised that nobody made a video yet. This map certainly deserves attention from the community.
WOW! Hooooly **** this was great as hell. The end was maybe rushed, but whatever, the beginning and middle were exhilarating. I do like that you never were forced to fight, you could always outrun everyone. Some good environmental puzzles too. Collapsing scaffolding, **** that was great. I do hope you make more. Thank you!!
Found a nice Jacknife easter egg near the end of the map.
somewhere in the stormdrains?
So for the very late reply. It's shortly before the stormdrains when you exit the underground via an elevator. The blues come and if you kill them and go behind this one booth, there's Jacknife trying to murder you with a SCAR-L. You can even kill him.
are there any cops in this map?
This map is fantastic! However while playing it feels really buggy, probably due to how big the map is. If the map was split into two parts it might run better, but overall I really enjoyed playing this.
I love this map!! It´s amazing!!
The map can feel a little bit confusing at times, but it doesn't take away from how amazing it is. Easily one of the best custom maps for Mirror's Edge, ever. Great attention to detail, nice pacing, multiple approaches to every single area. It manages to make the linear structure of the OG Mirror's Edge feel like the open-ended design of Catalyst. It's a decent length, too.
9/10
My one of the most favourite maps!
My fav map from now on:)
