This mod add the bomber Heinkel He111-H3 to Men of War Assault Squad. If you like this plane, thank you to give your feed back and vote ;)
This plane can fly and is destructible (explode in multiparts, even there is not yet a x_model)
(tested on version MowAS1 - V2.05.15).
This He111 can fire with his 5x MG15 and it can drop SC250 bombs
(for this mission, i've desactivate the mgs in the .def file : addition of ";" at the begining of each line concerning theses mgs that are useless. If you want to activate the mgs, supress the ";" in the he111.def).
I've made also new sounds (real engines recorded on youtube) and it come with a lot of great historical skins for each theater (Europe, winter, desert, night..).
I've made a little AI mission to demonstrate the use of this bomber : take off/attack with drop bombs / Land on the airfield. You can test it in the Gem editor (complete version) or directly in the game (short version).
History (source wikipedia):
The Heinkel He 111 was a German aircraft designed by Siegfried and Walter Günter in the early 1930s in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Often described as a "wolf in sheep's clothing", it masqueraded as a transport aircraft, though its actual purpose was to provide the Luftwaffe with a fast medium bomber.
Perhaps the best-recognised German bomber due to the distinctive, extensively glazed, bullet-shaped "greenhouse" nose of later versions, the Heinkel was the most numerous and the primary Luftwaffe bomber during the early stages of World War II.
Production of the H-3, powered by the 895 kW (1,200 hp) Jumo 211 D-1, began in October 1939. The experiences during the Polish Campaign led to an increase in defensive armament: MG 17s were fitted whenever possible and the number of machine guns was increased to seven. Normally one MG 17 would be installed in the nose, one in the ventral position, dorsal position and one in each waist window position. The two waist positions received an additional MG 15 or 17. On some Heinkels a permanent belt-fed MG 17 was installed in the tail.
INSTALLATION:
- Extract the He111 folder in the "mod folder" inside your Men of War: Assault Squad game directory
Normal Path to the game "Men of War - Assault Squad":
- DvD version: C:\Programs\1C Company\Men of War Assault Squad
- Steam Version: C:\Programs\Steam\SteamApps\common\men of war assault squad
Then launch the game and activate the mod (the file on the left side should pass on the right side).
After that, you will have the possibility to use this new aircraft He111 in the Game editor.
To missions creators: I will be proud to see this He111 in a mission as reinforcement..

The historical skins of this mod have been made by several great skinners, and come from the internet site: Asisbiz.com
A huge work in 3DSmax was to "unwrap" each parts of the plane to use these good skins.
(I've also modified the original skins format (.bmp to .dds), and i've created special skins: specular skin to add reflets and bump skin to add little reliefs on the plane in game).
Important:
Except the skins, this mod was a hard work, and i passed a lot of my free time on it (3dmodels on 3dsmax, volumes and others special 3d objects, uvunwrapping each parts, editing sets, scripts, record and modifying sounds etc...) so I don't agree others modders to use my work whithout my permission.
I can agree (or not) the use of this work only to who ask me gently BEFORE in pm, and if my name appear in the credit list of the mod using my work.

Can i ask why you aren't releasing it whit all the other planes? :)
Making flyable planes for MowAS take time, so releasing a complete mod with all planes can take months or years.
That's the reason I release them one by one (including the previous ones, the Ju87G2 in this case), so you can use them now and at the end, there will be all the planes of the list in it ;)
The static planes stay another standalone mod.
Do you plan to make more flyable planes?

Just now was esperimentando the new Heinkel He111, but only tested it in the editor, because the mission waited a great time and it was not possible to control the units. Observed in the editor using only bombs. With time you will make the guns work? Although it has had some problems, this work enjoyed great .......
It's just a AI demo mission and the camera show the differents skins for this plane, so it take time to begin.
This He111 can fire with his 5x MG15 and it can drop 8x SC250 bombs but for bombs drop tests and this mission, i've desactivate the mgs in the he111.def file with addition of ";" at the begining of each line concerning theses weapons that are useless in game. (If you want to activate the 5 mgs, supress the ";")
Amazing job bassmaniac, everything works flawless, there is only a slight problem when I try to land, when I press space the plane insta goes to the ground, it doesn't really make an landing animation, but I don't see it as a problem either because the plane is more for the bombs ;)

As allways, great work Bassmaniac! It was much fun testing this plane out, even with my low pilot skills... Well, i want to report a bug: When the plain gets shot by a tank... it looses a wing, falls on the roof but... is still useable. Here a screen to show what i mean: Moddb.com . And the reason why i shot with tanks at airplanes? thats another story D: ... Well then, i hope this bug report will be helpfull.

It's the first version, so it's normal to discover some little bugs like this one.Tell me: when you say it's still useable, you mean you can enter inside but you can't fly with it?
I suppose this bug appeared because there is no (yet) x_models: I will make a x and xx model for all my planes but i've to learn how to do it exactly..
well, not just not entering, in fact no one of the crew even dies/leaves the plane, also the bombs are still useable. And i did some further tests: When you hit the plain with HE, it doesnt break in the Air, mostly it keeps completly intact, but the force of the hit pushes it to the ground, (and i used my own HE ammo, thats not a small explosion!(125mm!))
Thanks for this report: i will do investigations to find the reason but as it's a modification of an original file, i think it's a special case, because i did tests and in most of crashs, all the crew died..
I've just modify the airborne.inc and add {kill_crew} for {on "die"} and {on "collide"} conditions
well then, i will wait for your version 2 of it, to also test it out!

For this great 17cm Kanone 18 (maybe the better german long range gun of the WW2), i think the better 3d modeller is Normand. (Please ask him in pm)
