Is this compatible with other Overhaul mods?
Is it compatible with Lost Alpha?
Clear Sky?
Shadow of Chernobyl?

I said in the description it's compatible with every addons as long as it doesn't overwrite the "items.ltx" files.

But since "Call of Chernobyl" is a "Call of Pripyat" mod i'm not sure if this addon runs on other part of the franchise, but you can test it on the other games to see if it's working or not because i don't have the time to install every single game of the franchise and see if it's working.

Nah, not hardcore enough. A real bottle of vodka doesn't protect you from radiation at all and is most likely gonna make you feel even worse )

By doing further research about the vodka, it seems you're right sir.
I'm gonna update the mod.

I'm not a fan of this change, the reason vodka reduced radiation in game was so you had a poor man's Anti-rad, an inexpensive way to lower radiation with side effects. (increases hunger and makes your drunk)

Maybe add it as an optional folder? It is just one file, after all. And vodka curing radiation, I feel, is something that feels very S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I already added it as an optional file :)
And yeah you're right, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is not a real S.T.A.L.K.E.R. withouth radiation healing vodka :D

Back in STALKER ShOC (Or maybe it was just the O.G.S.E Mod) Vodka acted as a radiation protection, and usefully as psi-protection since it dulled the mind. Maybe you could give it the psi-protection property to balance things out?

I downloaded this addon and never regretted it. Its the zone as it should be, the scarcity of items should make prices skyrocket wich this mod does. It forced me to be more cautious with my healing and ammo. Also great idea to nerf vodka, i always tought it was cheated. Now youre forced to use "antirads" and every single one is precious. The zone just got deadlier. Thanks for the mod.

Hi, any chance for variant of this mod with default item prices? The reason is that many of items can be found in crates and in my opinion it is very easy to earn money just by selling food (also because consumables do not weight much).

I've played mod a little and I really like slower healing and field dressing, for me this was the reason for installing the mod.

In case you would be busy, can I at least ask for default items.ltx? Seems I can't extract it myself.

Nevermind, I got it. Merging now default one with modded items.ltx to set default prices.

I think I will further weaken the healing, like making medpack healing process take few hours to heal the wounds. This way it would be almost necessary to retreat from fight after getting hit, use the medpack and preferably go to sleep to speed up time so the wounds would heal. Question is if consumable effect will work after going to sleep, will have to try it out.

The second idea did not work fine:
pros:
-it is possible to sleep during healing so wounds will heal during sleep when medkit effect is on (or is it just sleep that is healing wounds too? Haven't checked that)
-much slower healing, makes game harder
cons:
-character may say that he is not tired and will not want to sleep
-healing works more like buff, because effect is long and is healing any new wounds

In the end I would be probably cheating and using medkits before fights to have better health regen. I am sticking with similar settings as in the addon, except the prices.

Thanks for sharing the addon, forgot to write that earlier.

"Foods healing effect has been removed and safiety level has been decreased because let's be fair, you won't get that satisfied by a slice of bread nor a stick of sausage unless you have a small stomach."

Actually you should look at weight of those products, not image. Because you have almost half kilo of sausage, not just one stick of it that would weight about 0.18kg but even 100g will give you 300 kcal so half of kilo will give you really good boost of 1500 kcal and loots of fatty acids and carbohydrates.

The same with bread, its not just slice of bread, its 0.3 kg.
Average homemade bread(I bake them often :] ) weight about 0.5-0.6kg so its basically half loaf of bred, and because we can assume its homemade, its will be whole grain bread on leaven so it will give you almost 800-900 kcal with lots of carbohydrates.

+ putting higher prices on food is just idiotic. In none of known conflict bread was more expensive than damn weapon or pack of ammunition!
Food is after weapon main thing to import or make in war zone. And because we talk about Stalker zone, where military or even mercs can easily get their stuff to the zone, it will be no problem for any stalker or faction to get ingredients to make basic food, starting from bread ending even in canned/jar ready-to-eat meals.
About military rations I will not even mention...
