When you've got the SPAS-12.
Half-Life 2: MMod - 12 GAUGE AUTOLOADER
This mod changes the SPAS-12 in following ways:
- Animations
For the Primary , the SPAS now fires in Semi-Automatic.
And for Secondary , Gordon pumps the SPAS twice.
- Sounds
Sounds were made to compliment the Semi-Automatic Mode more.
They also sound hella beefy. Uses the Terminator SPAS Sample as the Base.
- Scripts and CFG
The SPAS now has the capacity of 8 rounds in the magazine tube.
Gordon can now hold up to 80 shells in reserve.
The SPAS is more powerful overall.
- Gameplay Usage
The SPAS fires quicker when Aimed.
> Use this to clean a area full of enemies close to each other.
When not aimed , the SPAS is less accurate and fires slower.
> Use the delay between shots to concentrate on enemies apart from each other.
The SPAS Secondary is Extremly Powerful.
> Use it against the tank enemies like the Poison Zombie and Hunters.
> Do NOT use it against regular enemies. It's a waste i tell you!
Aim for the Head.
> Shooting the head deals the most ammount of damage.

What about iron sight version?
I don't use them.
But you can take MMod ones and apply them to the script if you want to.
how do i do that?
Just look for the shotgun script in the scripts folder , and take the ironsight values and replace them onto the 12g shotgun script.
Interesting. I really hate how HL2 made the conventional weapons stupidly weak to encourage the player to rely on the Gravity Gun.

Love this addon. Makes the Spas-12 deliciously overpowered like Doom 2's super shotgun, or Doom 2016's super shotgun. And I can finally shoot semi-automatic like every Combine Shotgun Soldier.
Back and better than before thats for sure.
I have plans to make the definitive version for V2.
It will also include the M1014 if all goes well.
Is there a way to not have this mod replace my shotgun with the vanilla model?
Nope , you'd have to rig your model to these animations.
