Description

I have made a new Navmesh for the 64 player map for Gulf of Oman to allow play with AI bots. Note that this is not an exact copy of the original 64 player map. There have been some changes to the static objects and flag layouts: Some of the sandbags have been moved about 2 metres around the MEC base to allow the ai vehicles an easier time going through gaps. The flag at Village Fortification has been moved to on top of the guard tower as the vehicles kept getting caught up in it. The Village flag has been moved to on top of the hill as the vehicles would have trouble turning around down the dead end road at the base of the hill where the original flag was. If you find any faults let me know and I will fix them as best I can.

Unfortunately I do not yet know how to do a proper lightmap to fix the shadows on the static objects I moved. If/when I figure it out I will upload a new update.

Where do you find /bf2editor/Content/Objects/Common/DefaultEnvMap.con and several run /objects/stationary items in your StaticObjects.con?

And why you keep delete some of the game modes on your map fixes?

eg. coop should have all game modes for 16, 32 and 64 players. Also gpm_cq conquest sp2 sp3 etc.

Not sure which static objects you are refering to? Is the level crashing to desktop and giving errors? The StaticObjects.con should be similar to the original as all i did was move/delete a few objects so the vehicles could navigate better.

I only put out the 64 player versions because that is all i have tested. The 16 player versions from the original games are most likely better than i could achieve, so i saw no need to include them.

It is possible to put the 32 player mode as all modes use the same navmesh, but i have not tested it.

there should be /objects/weapons/stationary not /objects/stationary

Yes, I see what you mean now. That is really weird. It seems that only the stationary weapons have been changed.

I did not change them on purpose, but somehow the editor has written over the original code, even though none of the objects I moved have anything to do with the stationary weapons.

Everything seems to be loading in fine when I play it though. Are you missing some staticobjects because of this change when you play it?

I found the problem. In my editor mod in the Objects folder there was an extra "stationary" folder as well as the one inside the "weapons" folder.

I do not know how it got there. Thankyou for spotting that as that mistake would have carried over to all my future maps.

Fixed vehicle navmesh near western railway crossing, in Rock Fort, near Village Fort and Hotel where vehicles were getting stuck in the palm trees.

Yo ni cuenta me habia dado de esos errores pero si de uno que es de la I.A y es que en ese mapa la I.A no usa los aviones y en las partidas se ve muy pocos aviones del MEC en vuelo.
Por cierto ¿Cuanto te falta para el mapa Op. road rage o lo vas a comenzar en Diciembre'

I hadn't even noticed those errors but I did notice one that is from the A.I. and that is that on that map the A.I. does not use the planes and in the games you see very few MEC planes in flight.
By the way, how long do you have left for the Op. road rage map or are you going to start it in December?

Thanks for pointing out the AI not taking the planes at the MEC Airbase. I will have to fix that.

Operation Road Rage should be out early December

Hey, thanks you can now see MEC planes in flight! Now the games are more frenetic. I was in my BTR90 until an Abrams and a LAV appeared and then MEC planes came and dropped their bombs, I survived but that scene was so incredible that I still remember it in detail

Fixed reported problem of infantry unable to capture Village Fortification. Also made capture radius of some other flags a bit bigger to make it easier for AI to capture.
