Wow this is amazing! Do you think you could do an Italian Day of Defeat map like dod_avalanche or something iconic like that? We seriously would love to have at least one of the classic DOD mod maps in 1944 mod!
As i know there are certain ways to convert source engine bsp (which is the original map format of half life / cs 1.6) to a model. Even the editor of source engine have converter of world brush to model. But the map originaly belongs to goldsource engine so idk if it's converted from rather source engine or goldsource.
Same here. Otherwise fine port! Busy trying to finish porting a few Halo 1(pc)maps,Q4 maps and a ST:EF1 map over to UT2k4. Not easy but almost done for some of them.Finished but not uploaded a couple of UT99 maps ported over to UT2k4 as well. :D
Holy **** that's absolutely insane and an automatic 11/10 rating! I had it in my backlog to recreate de_dust2 based on the resources of the dust1 that has been made. But this is so much better! Do more CS1.6 maps lol. Or give a quick tutorial how to rip them.
Insane work! converting world brush to a model and porting over BF2 must taken a lot. I remember there was also dust but it wasn't with original textures like this.
EDIT: You're already told it took about 3-4 hours which is even more amazing. Because of all the map is based on model it could be hard to do navmesh.
Yes this is quite impressive. Yes I have that other version of Dust in 1944, and like you say it was different textures. Imagine how this would look with original textures but just upscaled.

What program did you use to capture the 3D environment?

Thanks for the reply mate. I will have a look into it.
Mohammed_Furqon, can you perhaps let us know how you did this? I'd like to port some Half-Life 1 maps to BF2. :D
Chuckle, great rip, thx
Edit: no complaint, but some texture error here Imgur.com
