This mod replaces all reignited cutscenes (that are not rendered in-game) with the classic ones from the PS1 games.
I love Reignited, but I was always disappointed with the direction they took some of the cutscenes. They lost their charm in either the animations or the voice direction. This mod simply replaces the Reignited cutscenes (that are not in-game ones) with the classic ones from the PS1 games.
Each cutscene is recorded from the PS1 games running on an emulator. They were recorded with the games upscaled to HD and they are in 16:9 ratio thanks to widescreen hacks.
Please note that the widescreen hacks are not perfect and there are some visual bugs on the edges of the screen sometimes and you might see some things that were not meant to be visible originally (e.g. a still character model off to the side of the cutscene). They're never too noticeable though and it's worth having the full view of the scene.
Install:
Go to the Spyro Reignited Trilogy movies folder (~\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Spyro Reignited Trilogy\Falcon\Content\Movies) and copy everything in there. Once you've copied the Reignited movies I recommend putting them in a separate 'Reignited Movies' folder for backup. Do not delete anything in the 'Movies' folder, this mod does not replace all files in that folder.
Once you have the Reignited movies copied into a backup folder, copy the Classic movies from this mod, paste them into the game's 'Movies' folder and replace all files.
Now you are good to go, enjoy!
Uninstall:
Simply replace the classic movies with your backup Reignited movies.
Now you are good to go, enjoy!
To uninstall, simply copy your backup Reignited movies and replace the classic ones!
