Description

Well...I'm too busy to make more optics... BF4 F2000 with BF4-like animations In the Textures folder you will find some camos I made for this gun, switch the camo by renaming the texture file(f2000_camo_c.dds).Of course you can make camo by yourself The optic comes from Pony's work, thaks Pony. And finally, sorry for my poor English XD..

Thanks! This is the best f2000 model i've seen so far. Can I somehow delete the dot marking on the sight? I'd prefer using altweapongui for that instead

Open the textures folder and find the dot texture (I think if you use miniature view mode on Windows icons you will see a texture with a red dot), then open it with photoshop or any image editor that accepts .dds format. I'm not sure about this one, but I think the background is black. So, get rid of the dot using the background color. Same applies for alpha channel, which I think its bg color is white. You can find the alpha in the channels bar, near to the layers bar (photoshop). Doing that, save as dds DXT5.

That is a way to delete the red dot.Another way is deleting it in bfmeshview. But if you use hud instead,it will be strange when you zoom and change fire rate

I particularly don't like using game hud too, pony did a great work adding the in-mesh sight textures

Can you link me a tutorial on bfmeshview? I'm kinda nooby at modding at this point, dunno how to delete it though. BTW thanks for the reply. Personally I think the sticky dot is more realistic (like irl the shooter's view can shift but the dot can stays pretty much on target), I think your dot is a bit too dark or too small sometimes I just can't find it when shooting.

Download bfmeshview here Bytehazard.com
I make the dot after watch some bf4 veterans' gameplay(such as relaaa),their dots are sticky and very small. As for the dark dot,of course I can use a brighter color, but texture turns dark under the shadow, that is the disadvantage of mesh dot

I don't know any tutorials to link :( but I think I can explain to you. Opening the meshview, first of all go to "view" tab and thick "GLshaders". On the left side of the screen you will see a bunch of "lods" the sight is at "lod 1". There will be 3 textures in the lod 1 I guess: The sight body texture, the dot texture and the specular(?)(forgot the whole name, I'm away from my PC right now). basically every texture in the meshview has a specular version in the lods, by clicking the specular texture in any lod, you will see a part of the weapon turn into a bright color, showing which texture you are selecting. When you see the dot glow in the bright color at lod 1, delete the specular and the normal dot texture by selecting them and clicking the right mouse button (don't delete the sight body texture/body specular). Make sure to go to "file" tab, save, reload the mesh and then check if the dot disappeared. I think works like that. Long time since I deleted textures from meshview, I only edit them on photoshop now. Sorry if you couldn't understand:(( ik its a bit confusing without images or video

Juantu JohannLiebert Thank you so much. I've managed to do it, your explanation is straight forward and easy to follow, typing that much text without a keyboard must be quite troublesome, isnt it? Thanks again
