This is a mod for BFME2, based on J.R.R Tolkien's epic tale The Silmarillion. It will replace all the current factions with factions from the First Age, as well as changing the gameplay in many ways, including new AI for each faction. The factions we will be adding are: Teleri - A faction based almost entirely on ambushing. They will be one of the easiest factions to play as on either heavily forested maps or maps with a lot of water, due to their superior navy and ambushing tactics. They may struggle in open battle, but late game they will be able to hold their own, due to their elite infantry and strong heroes. They are very weak to siege, as their lack of cavalry means they can't ride out and quickly destroy any siege weapons. Noldor - The Noldor will be the best all-round faction, who will probably be one of the easiest factions to play as. Their only weaknesses are high build costs and build times. Their siege is also not as strong as other factions. Apart from that though...

On the 7th of Juni the mod was made public. In the weeks before that day, the basic mod plans had been formed by Zimoo and [CoU]Legolas and a small start was made. You can find renders of the early models in the Mod Profile.

We decided to work through the mod by making faction by faction, starting with the Teleri. This faction is a good way to being completed, and a week ago the work on Angband has begun.

It was agreed that our mod should try to reflect the variations that happen in nature. Meaning, we didn't want every unit of a battalion to look and act the same. The Angband orcs warriors were the first to be randomised. 6 models, 4 skins (4 light armored and 4 heavily armored) and various code differences in weaponset and armorset. In the end we had 384 statistical different warrior orcs. It will be unlikely that there will be more than two of the exact same orcs warriors in a single battalion. While they may not all look different, the weapon damage and armor values may differ. A similar change is being made to the orc archers. The light armored orcs are viewable in the Mod Profile. For the heavy armored ones, you will have to visit our boards by following the link at the top of this post.

Yesterday Zimoo came with the news that we were listed at Mod DB, and that brings us to the here and now...
