Unreal Demolition is being designed to showcase some of the most exciting vehicle combat available. The game can be described as something as simple as just driving around. However, the modes it covers make it much more than that. The game features some of your favorite vehicles from Unreal Tournament 3, as well as others you've never seen before. You’ll see everything from hectic demolition derby style events, to deathmatch in vehicles, to vehicle soccer, sumo wrestling, and more. Happy demolition!

UD had a strong showing in the MSUC Phase 1. More updates to come in the next few weeks.

So, I guess the most awesome news of all: 5th place in the Best Use of Physics category and finalist in Best New Gametype in the 1st phase of the Make Something Unreal Contest. Not too bad for a simple vehicle mod.

Anyhow, with the phase 2 deadline approaching fast (October 17th), it's time for a new release of Unreal Demolition. Real life has caught up with the team as it tends to do, but we still have some exciting things coming along.

First up is the inclusion of a new mode in UD, Stunt Mode. This mode will take all of the ridiculous spins, flips, and rolls that are already in the game, and makes them the focal point. Out-trick your opponents and show who is the best at showing off. Speaking of spins, they're now in game. With the stunt system being upgraded to support stat tracking, and some tweaks being done to the overall control scheme, spins have now made a return. Along with this, there will be some tweaks to the game to help improve the overall playability.

Second, as of version 2, we will now be supporting the new 1.3 patch mod system. This means that Unreal Demolition will be launched from its own shortcut, and (if all goes as planned), have its own customized menu system just for the game. Some hacking still has to be done in this regard, but if nothing else, it's a work in progress.

Finally, I unfortunately cannot promise a release date here, but I am working on a PS3 version of the mod. Because the PS3 doesn't support the PC mod structure, I'm building on a seperate branch of the game, but I am pushing to make sure that I can launch simultaneously in this regard. On that note, if you have the PS3 version of UT3 and want to help get that tested, please contact me. Any help will be much appreciated.

That's all for now.
