Four additional armour variations, adapted from DA2 resources.
This module adds two new armour variations (as well as a new longsword appearance) to the Single Player module and its expansions, adapted from DA2 resources. Sample items utilizing these variations can be found in a chest on first floor of the Redcliffe Castle, after the Landsmeet arc of the plot is completed.
A copy of each of the items can be alternatively created in the player's inventory by running following command on the dev console:
runscript zz_givewardenarmours
installation
------------
the .dazip file can be installed using program DAupdater.exe (which is located in "../bin_ship/" sub-folder of your Dragon Age installation folder)
to uninstall
------------
- delete sub-folder "7704_wardenarmor" located in "..Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/AddIns/"
- delete file "7704_wardenarmor_package.erf" located in folder "..Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/data/"
notes and known issues:
---------------
Current support of custom armour variations in DA is severely limited due to game engine bug. With more than a few custom models installed it's very likely to experience a conflict which causes one custom model replace another. Unfortunately if such situation happens the only easy way to resolve it is to only have one of such conflicting models installed.
The placement of seam between main part of the armour and the gloves is different than in default DAO models. While it doesn't cause any serious visual glitches when wearing gloves from this mod mixed with other armours, doing the opposite (wearing main armour pieces from this mod with more "regular" glove types or no gloves at all) will create visible gap around the elbow area)
technical notes:
